Remove the new chain and compare it against the old one. Do the new drive teeth match the 'pitch' of the old chain? If incorrect, the chain cannot be adjusted properly and will 'climb' over the sprocket due to the chain teeth not matching the teeth on the drive sprocket. Getting the proper chain is the answer in this case. Hope this helps!

Can I put a 18" bar on my Poulan 35 CC, If not why.

yes you can put an 18 inch bar on this saw. you could even go with a 20 or 24 inch bar as long as it will fit the saw. I wouldn't go much bigger though because it really doesn't have enough power to handle a much bigger bar. And, getting into the dirt makes the saw chain really dull really quickly. Dig around those roots if you don't want to be stuck sharpening your chain every 10 seconds. Take it to your local saw shop and they can fix you right up! Hope this helps...

My poulan 18 inch chain saws blade turns but only cuts in about an inch and won't go any farther. It's two days old and worked fine cutting the first 2 trees down.

It sounds like the chain does want sharpening, it depends on what you are cutting ( type of timber, dirty timber, burnt timber etc ) as to how long before it needs sharpening, if the chain comes into contact with the ground below the tree it will lose its edge instantly.

Cutting fallen tree and saw shut down. chain will not move, removed cover, bar, and chain and the flywheel, I believe (looks like a clutch on old go-carts) will not turn. how do you replace the flywheel,...

By flwheel i am guessing you are talking about the clutch, there is a special tool with two pins on that fits into the two cut a ways in the clutch centre, it then has a 19,, nut on the outside so as to jar it off against compression with a 19mm socket and impact gun, if this model has an inboard chain brake make sure the brake is off by pulling the hand guard fully back to the top handle.Tool part no. 530031112

Poulan Pro 42cc Just Won't Cut It

The chain is directional, only cuts one way. If a new chain won't cut, it must be on backwards.

My Poulan 3500 chain saw will not start

My guess is that one of your fuel lines has a crack or small hole in it. Inspect these and replace if needed. let me know how it goes.
