Question about Ovens

2 Answers

We have a ZMD 905W Built-in double oven which is showing the following Fault Codes with a spanner. - initially 005 which changes to 00C. We have endeavoured to source spares and rectification through Fisher & Paykel/Electrolux within Australia but to no avail as Zanussi is no longer supported by these companies. After much discussion with Electrolux Head Office in Sydney we were given an Electrolux part that was supposedly the Electrolux equivalent. However this part turned out to be a rotary switch not the heat sensor, which had been diagnosed as causing the problem. The part No. we were initially given as a heat sensor was 3570062-01/2. The part supplied by Electrolux was 3581980-12/9 described as a switch which was not the required part. Electrolux in Sydney can help us no further. Can you please advise if you can assist or recomend somebody who can rectify the problem with our oven. My email address is bweekley@optusnet.com.au Thank You

The advice supplied by gbooze proved immediately unsuccessful. We phone Norwest and were promptly told we don't service Zanussi ovens. We need more help.

To date your research has not helped us.

We are in Australia!! The last three websites posted proved unsuccessful.

    zingappliances is an American company.

servicecentral.com is a website for service management software - nothing to do with Zanussi ovens.

    sydneymetroappliancerepair.com website does not exist.

We are not impressed with your website and your advice to date. So far we have had no useful information for our $14.95 and have wasted the morning chasing websites.

The best thing you can do is hope to find an FCC number. All products available here in the USA have an FCC number.
CLICK HERE and you will see the very best shot you have at locating a replacement. If that doesn't work for you - sadly you may have to toss the over and start with a new one.
Best of luck with it.

GE monogram double oven . Self cleaning top oven and F9 in red showing and beeping noise

F9 is a problem with the oven door lock circuit. If the door is locked, it's probably a bad switch that tells the oven it's locked. If the door isn't locked, it's probably a problem with the lock mechanism.

A common problem on many built-in GE ovens (you don't say if yours is built-in or free standing...) is air circulation in the control panel. The fan that keeps the panel cool either stops working or gets clogged with dirt/dust and can't move any air. This causes the panel to overheat and can cause all kinds of odd problems and error codes. If you have a built-in, check to make sure the fan is working and the mesh screen behind it is clean.

F 3 comes on when I press the oven temp or boil button. We have already change the sensor

Hi,

This fault is a bad or open sensor to the oven, the control unit can't see the oven temperature and won't run it if it can't control it.

I hope this helps

What are Fault Codes F2 and F5 on a GE built in electric oven model JTP45WDW2WW? Is there a site where the fault codes can be accessed?

Both codes most likely relate to a failed circuit in the lock mechanism and or a failed circuit in the temperature sensor circuit.

Double 27" oven Model No.911.48489 show F9,later beeping

The F9 error message usually means that the oven temperature is above 600 degrees F. Check that the fan is operating. Make sure that it is not blocked. Make sure the vent areas are not blocked. There could also be a welded relay contact or high resistance in the oven sensor leads or connections.
