Question about Nokia Cell Phones
I just set up my new Nokia 7230, and it refuses to connect to - or even 'see' - either of the Jabra Bluetooth headsets I've been using with my Nokia 6288. And yes, i did RTFM :D I've set the various connectivity options to detect Bluetooth devices and I've connected Bluetooth headsets to Nokia phones before and never had any problem. FWIW the 7230 did 'see' my desktop Bluetooth dongle, but refused to pair and now doesn't even 'see' the 'puter. Help!
p.s. If this is a new Nokia thing, e.g. that the phone will only recognise a branded Nokia Bluetooth headset, I'll be furious. I've used Nokia phones for 15 years now with no problems before.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Try this: 1. Ensure that your phone is switched on. 2. If the headset has not been previously paired with a device, switch on the headset. The headset enters the pairing mode, and the indicator light starts to flash blue quickly. If the headset has been previously paired with another device, switch off the headset, and press and hold the multifunction key until the indicator light starts to flash blue quickly. 3. Activate the Bluetooth feature on the phone, and set it to search for Bluetooth devices. See the user guide of your phone for instructions. 4. Select the headset from the list of found devices. 5. Enter the passcode 0000 to pair and connect the headset to your phone. In some phones, you may need to make the connection separately after pairing. You only need to pair the headset with your phone once. If pairing is successful, the headset appears in the menu of the mobile phone where you can view the currently paired Bluetooth devices. When the headset is connected with your mobile phone and ready for use, the indicator light of the headset slowly flashes blue.

okay, try this, turn off the jabra headset, and then, hold the power button but hold it down until the lights flash in a different way, and make ur phone search for devices and if it finds it then its all good, just use the 0000 password to pair it.if this works give me a fix rate. thank U

go into the bluetooth menu, with phone bluetooth on.
next, select paired devices, select new.
now the headset hold the volume + and - at the same time to re-set the headset, NOT the phone + and - / the headset only
this will re-set the headset and paired it to the new phone.
