The hand set does not work I can not talk or recieve. but it will ring when a call comes in and leave information

Ok, here's my theory you used an earphone but it didn't disconnect. To know if this so if you see the earphone icon on your phone then that is the case. This happened to one of my phones. Anyway here is how you can solve this plug in an earphone and shake the plug gently while still plugged in. Take out the earphone. If the icon comes off problem solved if not.... .... Try again. It is usually because of the switch in the earphone jack that switches between headset and handheld mode becoming jammed. :) hope this solution helps

I plugged my earphones into my ipod and laptop to play music, and the music comes out of my left earphone, but not the right

Hello,
This could the way the music is been recorded if it is strero or mono, also do confirm the earphone if one side of the earphone is faulty or not, if bad replace with the exact type and if not the media itself is faulty, you can take it the an electronics repair shop for them to diagonised the appliances... Hope this will help in solving.......

The sound is coming out perfectly in the right earphone but it is barely coming out in the left earphone

Then you need to adjust the earphones plug in, adjust it gently and it will sound right on both earphone. It is the plug that is causing the problem. Adjusting it will solve the problem for you.

When I plug the earphone jack into my MP4 player, I only get sound from one earpiece. I have tried several earphone sets to determine that it is not a problem with the earphones

Hi, this is a very common problem, after you have pulled the ear phones in and out a few times the solder on the earphone socket becomes brittle and breaks making you lose the connection with the circuit board, now as you have ruled out it being an earphone fault then the only possible problem could be the solder.

now sometimes if you wiggle the earphone at the part that goes into the mp3 you can sometimes get the sound working again, but this dont always work so dont rely on this,

now the problem you have is that the cost of getting this part fixed would cost a lot more than buying a new mp4 player.

the cheapest place to try and get this fixed is a tv repair shop, tell them exactly what the problem is so they dont have to test it and see how much they will charge you to resolder the earphone socket back in place properly.

that would be the cheapest option and could possibly get it working again if they will do the work for you

im sorry their is no easy fix but without getting the earphone socket re-soldered it will just never work

let me know if you need further assistance ok

I have an headset symbol in my desktop and i can not use my earpiece

there are to reasons for this prblm
  1. even ur earphone plugged and no sounds in ur earphone .then there is a chance of defect in earphone speakers or wires
  2. even if ur earphone is unplugged ,if there is a earphone icon in desktop,it means that ur phone mistakenly recognise earphone is connected..it may be an hardware or software related problem
i prefer you to service ur mobile before it goes worst

assuming it is a wire earphone which comes bundled with the set then
as soon as u plugged in the set should detect and show 'earphone plugged in', if not the problem is with the earphone itself.
If it is ok and can,t hear, check for the user profile selected as 'Headset'.
Now turn on the radio.

To check whether FM is working or not [diagnostic verify]Warning: DO NOT CHANGE ANY SETTINGS
enter *#66*# to enter Factory mode. Go to the end of the menu & select FM Radio --> select any channel to listen hiss sound. If so the set is ok. EXIT now. Mind that the earphone wire only works as fm antenna for the device that's why radio is disabled by default till it finds the earphone is plugged in.

Keep some space blank in the phone memory as it may be the problem.
if the problem is something else then describe what is happening stepwise.

R225M earpiece problem

If you bought a clone or non original earphone it can do that on your phone. Some of the PDA models are also very critical to the circuit wiring for the earphone, the switch, and the impedance.

If you are using the original earphone, and have this problem, it may be that there is a defect in the wiring, or the phone has a defect in its circuitry that works with the earphone.

Try change the earhone, at least test with a another or a new one, they often break the wires and connections near Jack.
