Press cursor-down on the multiselector (marked with a one-handed clock) to cycle through the different self-timer modes. To start the timer, press the shutter release button.

How do you operate the 10 second timer ? i know where the button is but how do you activate it to start the 10 second delay ?

After you set the timer (to 10 seconds), you simply aim at the subject and press the shutter button, like you would when taking a picture. The difference is that the picture will be taken only after the 10 seconds has elapsed.... and not immediately ( like if the timer has not been set at 10 seconds).

How do i set the timer on my canon powershot a560 to take a pic

There's a button with a clock next to it. Press that button and put your camera where you want it. Press the shutter release half way, to get focused. When you press it the whole way down, the timer will start and you will have 8-10 seconds. There is normally a burst of a few flashes when it takes the picture.

How do I use the self timer on my Kodak M1033?

In any Still mode, press down-arrow repeatedly until the self-timer icon appears for the desired setting. Your choices are 10-second delay, 2-second-delay, and 2-shot, where one picture is taken after ten seconds and a second picture eight seconds later.

Does camera have timer

Putting Yourself in the Picture The Self Timer creates a 10-second delay between the time you press the Shutter button and the time the picture is taken. 1 Place the camera on a flat surface or use a tripod. 2 In any Still mode, press the Self Timer button. The Self Timer icon appears in the status area. 3 Compose the scene. Then press the Shutter button half-way and hold to set the exposure and focus, then press the rest of the way down. Move so that you are in the scene. The Self Timer light blinks slowly for 8 seconds (then quickly for 2 seconds) before the picture is taken. The camera "clicks" when the picture is captured. To turn off the shutter sound, see page 64. The Self Timer turns off after you take the picture or if you change modes. To cancel the Self Timer before the picture is taken, press the Self Timer button. (The Self Timer setting remains active.) To turn off the Self Timer, press the Self Timer button twice.
