Question about Frigidaire 20.3 cu. ft. Upright Freezer GLFU2067F
I've had 3 services calls on a brand new freezer. Purchased 2 days before Thanksgiving 2007 - frost started building up within 2 days of being delivered & installed.
The door was missing insulation. The frost builds up on the bottom side of the TOP of the inside door frame and also on the top of the 1st door shelf on the door itself. I only noticed because it got so bad that when I opened the freezer, the ice fell on my head.
The service guys installed installation (very poorly I might add) to the door. It's worse now than when we first got the freezer and it didn't have insulation in the door.
There was ice & condensation inside the door (duh - it had ice in it), but the service guys didn't remove/dry it before putting the insulation. I've had 4 service calls and now an offer to put a new door on the unit.
But I have to ask myself ... I bought a NEW-IN-BOX unit ... why should I have to call for service? Shouldn't the unit work right out of the box? Doesn't the unit sound defective?
Lowe's says they'll give us our money back. I think I may go this route. The Frigidaire rep for Lowes in Denver/Lakewood, CO says they'll provide an insulated door. If the new door doesn't work, we'll not be able to get our money back and only get partial refund of hte total cost .. plus I won't have a freezer. Why would I agree to get the door replaced ... which our experience has been ... it won't work and then I lose out on getting full price reimbursement?
What else could be wrong? The 3rd party service team and frigidaire can't seem to get it right.
Contact 1-888-77-lowes if you havent done this call, have them create a case file on this, tell the person that you talk to that if you try this solve and it dont fix the issue I want a new machine if they agree to this do the door replacement if they don't take it back to lowes

Tips for a great answer:
Aug 31, 2015 | Frost Freezers
Hi Dale Dibb, thank you for your inquiry!
I understand that the food inside of your Frigidaire freezer is getting frost on the inside of the packages. I would recommend turning the temperature up inside of your freezer. Additionally moisture inside of the package would cause frost to develop on the inside of the food packages.
Please assure that all possible moisture has been removed out of the food packages prior to placing the items inside of the freezer. If there is anything else that I can help you with, please feel free to reconnect! -Matt
