How to connect to tv

Depends on what type of ports your Computer has and what type of ports your TV has. The easiest connection is to try to connect using the ports that they both have. Otherwise, if they have different ports then you will need some type of converter that goes between the two of them to make them communicate.

Most computers have a VGA port, does the TV have a VGA Port? New computers have a HDMI port, does the TV have a HDMI Port? If so you the connections that are alike or you will need a converter.

Once you have them connected, you just have to select the Input on the TV. Most times if you use VGA then you select PC or Computer as the input. There should be an HDMI input selection if you use HDMI connections.

Reboot the computer and the display might appear on the tv. If not you will have to hit some keystrokes to toggle the display between the computer and the tv. Most times on the computer you will hit the FN function key and one of the F1 thru F12 keys that controls the display on an external. The correct F1 thru F12 key will have LCD/CRT on it or it will have the icon of a display. Press and Hold the FN function key then hit the correct Function key (F1 thru F12) that toggles the display.

Cannot connect acer pc to tv

The PC and the TV need to have the same kind of connection such as VGA or HDMI. If not you will need some type of converter between the two to make them compatible. Once you have them connected set the TV's input to PC, Computer or HDMI if you use the HDMI connection. Reboot the computer and see if the image appears on the TV. If not you can hit the FN Function key on the computer + the F1 thru F12 key that corresponds to the External Display. The correct F1 thru F12 key to hit might have CRT/LCD on it or it might have the icon of a display. Press and Hold the FN key then hit the correct F1 thru F12 key that corresponds to the external display to toggle the display between the computer, the tv or show it on both the tv and the computer.

Can't connect my HP G70-460 to my samsung tv

Have you selected PC or HDMI as your input source on the TV? Have you hit the FN Function Key on the laptop + the corresponding F1 thru F12 key that displays the image on the TV?

Press and Hold the FN key then hit the correct F1 thru F12 key that displays on the tv. The correct F1 thru F12 key will probably have LCD/CRT on it or it might have the icon of a display.

My Philips Plamsa won't turn on, has a black screen but the power light is on. There is also a constant clicking noise. Any ideas of what this might be. The tv is a couple of years old.

The picture is White or Black:

1. Adjust picture setting such as brightness or contrast

2. Check the color settings

3. Check to ensure you cable connections are connected properly.

We have a thin line going through the picture is this a problem with Sony Bravia T.V. it is just under three years old.

Hi,

Line failures are comon on all plamsa and LCD screens.
Best way to test is connect via HDMI or PC into the TV if it still has the line it is 80% the screen.

Fuses won't usually exibit a popping sound. It is more likely a component on a cirrcuit board has failed such as a mosfet, capacitor or diode.
