Hi, you have to check few things, first of all check power at the outlet for 120 volts. If the light in the fridge works, the defrost timer, cold control and possibly the wiring are the most common things that can make a fridge sit there and be dead, not working.
The defrost timer might be stuck in defrost, turn the timer screw to advance the timer and if the fridge comes back on, replace the defrost timer. You can join the wires together to by-pass the cold control for a test, if the fridge comes on, replace the cold control...

No power going to ignition control module, what would cause this?


Yes, the pink wire to the ICM and from the run/crank relay should have battery voltage in run or start. If not, check fuse 11, a 10 amp fuse in the Fuse Block-Underhood. Also check fuses 38- a 30 amp fuse supplying power to the run/crank relay, and fuse 9- a 10 amp fuse between the run/crank relay and the ECM. All of these fuses are in the underhood fuse block.
Fuse 38-the 30 amp fuse, the power feed for the run/crank relay- will be hot at all times. Fuses 9 and 11 will be hot in run or start. Check for power at the fuses. If the relay is not turning on and sending power to those fuses and to the ICM, and the ECM, (and to the injectors through fuse 16 - a 10 amp fuse), then work back to the ignition switch and the body control module. Wish I didn't have to say that, but yes, the BCM is between the ignition switch and the run/crank relay.

This really depends on the setup you intend to create in your vehicle.

The Amplifer (amp) needs to be matched to the speakers you intend to run.


As a rule of thumb, the power of the amp shouldn't exceed the max. power of the speaker (this may damage your speaker). Instead, the amp's RMS output power should be at 75-100% of the speaker's RATED (RMS) input power. NOTE: this must NOT be confused with max power.

Ideally, you want to run each speaker with its own amp channel.

A subwoofer will usually require a hi-power single channel amp, or a 2 channel amp, bridged into 1 (to increase power output required for the sub).

Here are some examples in simpler terms:

1 channel (hi power) amp can run a subwoofer.
2 channel amp can run 2 speakers, or 1 sub (bridged).
4 channel amp can run 4 speakers, or a combination of 2 spkrs + 1 sub (bridged), or perhaps 2 subs (bridged).

Wont power up


Providing you also ran a ground direct from battery, you need a trigger wire from stereo i usually run off power antenna wire.Some stereos have a seperate amp or trigger wire already coming out you just need to run it to amp.

The inline fuse goes on the power wire (as close to battery as possible), and is there for a sfety feature to keep from sending to much power to the amp. All it does, is simply blow if the power gets over the specified amperage. For your amp, I would use a 40-60 amp fuse.

The remote power line, is simply an 18 gauge wire, running from the headunit to the amp. All it does is tell the amp when to power up. Since the amp is straight to the battery, it is possible to be on at all times, so you run it to the amp so it knows when to be on. If your headunit doesnt have a remote turn on wire, then tou need to run it from the ingnition to the amp.

For a signal cable, I recommend getting an rca cable to run to the amp from the headunit. Make sure when you run it that you run it away from the power wire to prevent from having engine noise.

You also need a ground wire, wich should be to a stud on the frame of your car, as close to the amp as possible.

When hooking up your amp to the sub, you need to run the negative to the negative (black to black) and the positive to the positive (red to red).

Sony amp has no power


There should be 3 wires running to the amp. +12v, ground and remote. ensure the remote is connect to the remote of the player or preamp. if the remote aint connected there will be no power on the amp.. if yor radio or player dont have a remote wire, connect the remote wire directly to the battery +12 to test it. If it powers on, then you can run the wire to a spst switch somewhere in the car and from the switch to the amp.

Check the fuese on the amp..

Fan on amp runs constantly. will this drain my battery?


Yes, and would imply that the amp is powered up all the time.

You should correctly wire your system by

1.Connecting the constant 12vdc input wire to a constant 12vdc source to power the in-dash head units memory.

2.Connecting the switched 12vdc input wire to a switched 12vdc source to power the head units primary functions.

3.Connecting the remote output wire (typically a blue wire) from the in-dash head unit to the correct terminal on the amp, so the amp will only power up when the head unit is on.

4 Remember to run the signal (speaker) wires in a chase separated from the amps power wires, so as to avoid a buzzing noise in the speakers.

5. Always use an in-line fuse on the amp and the head units main power wires.

Note: A properly powered amp will produce a better sound quality then if it were under powered, so be sure to use the proper wire gauge as your amps power supply.

3 amps 2 subs sound system for car, need wiring help


As i read your problem i can recommend you that connecting each of the hifonics amp to each hifonics sub with the same specs by getting the specs in interfacing the two or you can simply look to the output of the amp and the input of the sub and find a suitable plug that fits to them.

In the case if you want to run each hamp to individually run each sub but sharing 3 farad capacitor: what i can suggest is that you connect in parallel one connecting wire of each input or ouput of the amp or sub. Its like connecting a connector from each of the input or output of the amp or sub to one leg of the capacitor, and connecting two wires to the other leg, one is being connected to the amp or sub and the other wire is connected to the other amp or sub.

In the case of putting a circuit breaker at the car battery: what i can suggest is that you find an appropriate circuit breaker that fits the specs of the car battery then connect it in series on the positive supply or read the specs of the circuit breaker before you connect it to the battery. Having a circuit breaker is like having a fuse but with special advantages in favor of the circuit breaker.

In the case of having power to the amps you can run one power wire to the amps by dividing the power wire into two, one connected to the amp and the other wire to the other amp. Then you can connect each amp and sub in series individually by connecting one wire b/w amp and sub. I hope i solved your problem

KAC-9152D AMP TURNS OFF AFTER 2-3 MINS.


when your amp cuts out,is it when your stereo is produceing a long low note.if it is then the problem lies within the power distribution from the battery.as your sub pulles a long low note it draws a lot of power and sometimes the battery cant supply the power fast enough and the amp cuts out. useing a power cap is one way to solve the problem,but the best option for you to use becouse your running high powered amps is to have a sepparate battery for your audio using a split charging system.when your car battery is fully charged a relay swiches the power so that it charges the audio battery,so your auio system will have constant power without putting stress on your car battery. you can get thes from all good audio shops. hope this helps you.
