Question about Yahoo Mail

1 Answer

There was an advertisement on the screen .. I tried to click in the right corner x to get rid of it... there was a big line up and down the screen that moved everytime I tried to .. I now only have the files on the left hand side of the yahoo page and its spread on the right side is just blank and does not show the line that pulls information from one side to the other ... A large part of the screen is bland with the words edit or something on the right hand side .. Will I ever get to go to the email again...

This is a known issue with the New Version of Yahoo Mail. As a workaround to this problem, kindly switch to Yahoo Mail Classic by using the steps given below:

On your Yahoo Mail page click the Options link in the upper right corner between Help and Mobile, then click the Switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic link.

A dialog box might appear asking for feedback. If it does, click Switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic.

(For more detailed steps for switching to Mail Classic, click on this link)

If you are unable to switch to Mail Classic using the above method, kindly use the alternate method as given below:

Alternate method to switch to Yahoo Mail Classic:

After logging in to your Yahoo mail account, click on this link or copy and paste this link in your web browser address bar:

Then on the page which opens, you will be asked "Do you really want to opt out?". Click on the Yes button. Now your Yahoo mail page will Switch to Classic version.

Hope this solves your problem. Thanks for using FixYa

How to remove

If you are using Google Chrome then go to the top Right hand corner where you will find 3 black lines. Click on that then go down to setting scroll down to search, when that opens click on whatever search engine you want and that should get rid of I have found that is a pain and will take over your computer when you want to use another search engine.

There is no cancellation button and I cannot get rid of a 32 page download I fed by mistake to my HP1005. I have turned off the power, shut the printer down etc all to no avail. How can I get rid of the 32...

In the lower right hand corner of your screen, you should see a printer icon. Right click that icon to "Open Printer". When the window opens, click on the job and select cancel or delete.

This may not work ... you can try the same from within the printer folder found in the control panel.

That may not work either.

This last suggestion will definitely get rid of the job. Delete the printer and reinstall the software. This will take you probably 30 minutes --- still probably less time than you have invested so far in deleting the job, am I close to being right? Make sure you have the drivers for your printer. If you have the CD, great. If not, go to the manufacturers web site and get the latest driver for your printer that is consistent with your operating system.

You're seeing the histogram. To get rid of it on many cameras, simply press up-arrow or down-arrow (usually on the big circular multiselector). If that doesn't do it, please reply to this post specifying the make and model of your camera, and someone can give you more precise instructions.

When on internet content is not full page on a imac 24"

Click and hold the bottom right corner of the screen with the tiny 45 degree angle lines on it. While holding down the left click pull this to the right and down. If the screen if not full left then grab the browser just to the right of the Green button and pull it where you want it to be.

Was at a 33 page long site (!) when I must have inadevertently pushed a command to make my printer print these 33 pages. Cannot get rid of that command nor get my printer to stop even when I've shut down...

There is an icon in the lower right corner of your screen. It looks like a printer. Double click on that icon then right click on the print job then click no cancel. It should hang there are refuse to disappear. what you do after this is to turn off your printer then turn it back on then restart your computer. It should be gone after that.

Yesterday, when I powered up my laptop, everything was all of a sudden enlarged ( the desktp, icons, internet, text, e-mails, EVERYTHING). I know this is probably supposed to be some kind of useful tool...

Your enlarged desktop could be caused by several different things, so I will address each one in the order of likelihood of each one:

1. You may have accidentally changed your Display Settings.

Right-click on your desktop and select Personalize. Scroll down and click on Display Settings. Ensure that your Monitor Resolution is set for the maximum. If not, use your mouse to move the slider bar all the way to the right.

2. You may have accidentally changed the size of text and icons.

Right-click on your desktop and select Personalize. In the bottom left-hand corner, select Ease of Access. About half way down the screen, select Make the computer easier to see. Click on Change the size of text and icons about half way down the screen. If it is not selected, chose the default scale.

3. You may have accidentally turned on the Magnifier.

Right-click on your desktop and select Personalize. In the bottom left-hand corner, select Ease of Access. About half way down the screen, select Make the computer easier to see. About half way down the screen, uncheck the Turn on Magnifier.

To turn off the On-Screen Keyboard on start-up,
right-click on your desktop and select Personalize. In the bottom left-hand corner, select Ease of Access. About half way down, select Use the computer without a mouse or keyboard. Unselect Use On-Screen Keyboard.

To turn off the Narrator on start-up, right-click on your desktop and select Personalize. In the bottom left-hand corner, select Ease of Access. About a third of the way down, select Use the computer without a display. Unselect Turn on Narrator.

I hope this helps. If so, please remember to rate my post.

Replace 40'' screen

Thats a hard item to find. you may want to check at the local repair shops they may have an extral laying around from a salvaged set. Another possibility is advertise on craigslist, and search the free post on craigslist, often times people give away bigscreens when they are needing repairs just to get rid of them due to high repair cost. I have found many parts on craigslist.
