Try it on another PC but more likely to be in the monitor itself, just like other failed SAMSUNG, bad caps (bulging tops/leaking). Please look through my albums so you know what to look for.

You probably have a GPU issue. The solder melts beneath the GPU, when it overheats as it is working hard and it requires reballing with leaded solder.

Try to connect with laptop

Hi,
Make sure that your laptop have the printer software/driver installed in it, Printer needs driver that allows it to communicate with your computer/Laptop. Sometimes drivers need to be updated.

But before installing driver you need to uninstall previous version installed in your laptop then after restarting laptop you can re-install new driver. Visit this link to install driver for Lexmark X2670. Go to download & start downloading.

Thanks...!!

Toshiba Satellite P200-156; Screen dead; external monitor 'funny'

Thanks for the awesome explaination

The answer is that there are several causes of a dim display or the failure of a backlight to illuminate the screen. As most people are aware, inverter and backlight failure are the most common. Other causes are:- a faulty or damaged LCD/Inverter cable, Faulty motherboard and a faulty screen.
Firstly try the obvious!
There is a little switch usually located near the hinge which switches the display off when the lid is closed. This can sometimes get jammed and is easily overlooked. It might simply be a question of unjammimg it or making some sort of repair to it.
Most laptops are able to toggle between an external display and the built in screen. Sometimes the laptop can get confused so it is worth toggling between external and built in screen. As most have several different settings it is worth doing this several times. If the laptop screen flashes when you do this it would indicate that the inverter is trying to start the backlight. This means that there is a good chance that either the backlight or inverter has failed but does not totally rule out the other components.
It may also be worth resetting the bios as these settings can sometimes be lost especially if the cmos battery is on its way out or has been disturbed.

When I install the driver and the computer restarts I get a blue screen that tells me a fatal error has occured and windows will not start normally. The only way to get past this screen is to restart in...

When you install the drivers, are you installing them while the laptop is conected to the docking station? If so, try installing with docking first. Then after installation, shut down your computer. Dock the comptuer, then start the computer back up. If you get a blue screen, go into your bios and make sure that your USB setting is set to High Speed.

Please make sure that the docking station is plugged into your notebook before booting up, there is an issue that all expresscard docks share with plugging the docking station in while the notebook is powered on.
If there is a switch located on the Expresscard
On-Pre-boot support
Off-Post-boot support (Default)
This switch is used to determine how the dock is recognized in the
system at boot up stage. Certain notebooks will detect the dock and not
work properly during a pre-boot mode (ie. trying to boot up on the
external VGA device, not the internal VGA of the Notebook). This was
observed in notebooks (Fujitsu, some Sony and Toshiba models) that
use a BIOS developed by Phoenix Technologies. If you experience
such issue, please turn the switch from the default "OFF" position to
"ON". You will only need to set it once.

Screen not working on ACER 5315 laptop

First be sure you dont have an imput problem on your laptop while you are testing it. The input buton (swtich view) should be acessible via the Fn button and the F3-F8 on the keyboard (depends on your model) but it could looks like this : |[]| it really depends on the brands/models. It seems you experience some driver issues, but the driver should work for both devices... It's possible that your laptop screen or inverter are defective. But before saying so, be sure to try to switch views while you got the external monitor plugged in and see what happens. If only your external monitor works fine, you may have to replace some hardware in your laptop. I would personally contact the Acer technical support before spending any money on it though. Just in case... I hope it still in warranty cause it may be a bit expensive otherwise :(

Both screens wont work

No mention of how much ram installed ???

Are you using ACER GRIDVISTA
This program handles the multi screen out put

or

Standard Screen Properties,,,,,,,

Try this

DESKTOP>Right click properties
DISPLAY PROPERTIES>Settings

With both screens connected.
There should be two windows displayed ,
a highlighted white one and a grey one

Click IDENTIFY.

ONE SCREEN-
Should display a number 1 on the screen it has attached.
TWO SCREEN
Should display a number 2 on the external screen.

Once you get IDENTIFY to work then set resolution sizes of both individual screen.Apply and ok to save settings

If using GRIDVISTA then set the setting for the output functions and save theme as a theme BOTH or LAPTOP AND EXTERNAL MONITOR and its accessible from the desktop right click.

Good luck I have a couple of these I use for my Media Centre wirelessly networked thru the house.Great machines.

Screen blanks sporadically

This could be a video issue or a screen issue. To determine which one try to plug it up to an external monitor. If it does not black out on the monitor then it is the screen. If it blacks out on the monitor then it is the video component of the motherboard. In that case you would most like replace the motherboard.

Hope this helps!

HP Pavilion 7000 vertical lines on the screen. Unable to install the NVidia Driver

What is the exact model for your laptop? If you go to HP website using the laptop, you can have them "autodetect" what drivers you are actually supposed to be using. Find the display driver associated with your specific laptop and use that. Look for the link to "Software and Downloads" and click on it. There will be a black button in the middle for "Autodetect". Download that latest driver.
