What SOFTWARE are you trying to load on your computer?

What FOLDER did you go into?

I was under the impression that Vista would not recognize your Sansa.

    You have to explain more.

When I hooked up my Sansa View, Vista automatically recognized it, loaded the drivers and then I went to Sandisk and loaded the firmware.

I wish you would explain this problem more, something is weird with this whole thing. I would really like to get to the bottom of this.

    Please get back to me.

The e200 device should be in MSC mode for the MicroSD to show up as a Removable Device.

    Explanation:
The e200 can operated under two different modes, MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) mode and MSC (Mass Storage Class) mode.

To see the MicroSD card as a Removable Disk, the e200 must be in MSC mode. The following screen shots show how the "My Computer" screen will look when the device is plugged in under each mode.

    MTP Mode

    MSC Mode

    Solution:

To change the mode from MTP to MSC go to the Main Menu of the e200.

If you're e200 is plugged into your computer, please unplug it first.

    1) Scroll to the "Settings" > "USB Mode" > "MSC Mode" and push the select button.

    2) Connect the e200 to the computer using the USB cable provided.

The power may be depleted fully or the Connect might be hung during boot. Charge the Connect for at least 20 minutes using the AC charger. If the Connect will not turn on after 20 minutes charging with the AC charger, you can then try using the Connect Recovery Tool.

The recovery tool will reformat and reload the latest firmware to the Connect. The tool and instructions are located here.

Note: Ensure the Connect is turned off by holding the power button 8-10 seconds before initiating the recovery sequence.

Navman ezy not connecting to desktop

I had the same problem here in New Zealand. Navman would be recognized using USB.

I tried it with Windows Vista and Windows XP. In the end, I connected to windows 7, it was immediately recognized. I had the option to apply a few upgrades which I did.

After the upgrade, it now also works for windows vista and windows XP

I have bought a new piece of editing software ive checked that it runs with vista but every time i insert the Cd in to the drive it does not seem to recognize that thers a cd in the drive

try to run the cd on another system. if the computer recognizes that there's a cd in the drive, that may mean that your DVD Drive may be going bad. Usually DVD Drives dont fail all at once. it happens gradually. 1st it stops playing some dvds, then it stops playing dvds altogether

Will not connect to vista

Without knowing the exact model of your printer, I will have to answer the question generally. Most printers will be detected by Vista, but HP printers generally require you to install the CD first and only attach the printer after the software informs you to do so. If you jump the gun and try to install the printer first, you can end up having a Vista computer that will not recognize the printer or allow it to work. If this happens you'll need to uninstall it. Most printers from several years ago simply are not Vista compatible. I have about 6 printers and they are all only 2-4 years old and they all will not work with Vista according to the HP, Epson and Canon websites. So its just a matter of having an incompatible printer. If you want to know if yours is compatible, simply go to the manufacturer's website Support page and enter in your model number and check if its compatible. If it is compatible, download their software and install it first. Also be sure to verify that your printer and cable are good by attaching it to another computer first. Also make sure your USB port is good by testing it with something else like a mouse or USB drive.

My computer wont even recognize the software/printer & plugs. The ink runs fine. Does anyone know how to set it up as a new printer?

Keep the printer unplugded and run the drivers Cd that came with th printer. If it is an old printer and you need to install it on Vista go to the printer manufacturer website and downlaod the compatiable drivers.

Rate if useful.

Printer wont print

go to @ http://downloads.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/downloads.cgi?ccs=229:1:0:571:0:0

to get the driver for Vista. Don't connect the printer untill the software instructs you to do so. You will see a message that says the software in not compatible. Click to allow it anyway. Vista doesn't like any outside software and won't recognize any drivers but its own. You will have to go into the printer file in the control panel and select the new driver as the default.

Speedstream 5200 modem

Open the following link --

speedstream 5200

Download the manual from the link and review page 7 for ethernet connection.

Notice particularly the back of the device. There are four connection points to plug things in the one on the left with DSL is where cable with the phone connectors connects the phone jack to the speedstream 5200. On the right the round connector with the pin is where the power goes. Next to the power connector to the left is a USB connector. In between usb connector and the DSL port is an ethernet connector. One way to avoid the need for the USB software os to use the ethernet connector bu connecting an ethenet cable (wider connector that fits snugly in both ports one on the Speadstream 5200 and the other probably present on your computer.

USB driver including VISTA (if you prefer)
