I cannot get any code to work on the model ld200em8

Found this online. This is a "One For All" URC 8820.
The exact setup code is TV 1886. The newer version 8820N has this code. The older 8820B00 does not have this code, or anything similar. The only UEI remotes with TV 1886 are the OFA URC-8820N, 10820N, and RCA RCRP05B.

BTW, from hifi-remote.com, the TV/DVD combo is made by Funai, and uses NEC1 132.224.

This may be fatal as it indicates a bad optical unit in the player--no parts and only possible is entire DVD portion would have to be replaced which is not cost effective.

Check DTV's site to see if they have updated the code lists for your respective remotes.
I have two newer sets for which there are no codes too.

Seems like the term 'multibrand' remote might be more accurate than the common 'universal.'

We have the same issue...I found the replacement remote and plan to order Monday!!! After purchasing THREE universal remotes, this has been SUCH a headache...
