If you have not written at all to the card, you may be able to get the files back. This may be involved, and it may depend on your operating system and the software you will use.
There are a number of free/open source programs to restore deleted files on flash cards of any kind.
Usually this is what to do:
Either buy or borrow a card reader if you do not own one. Install it on your computer.
Download the file, install it.
If you have never run a program like this, it may be to your advantage to experiment with it on a card which is not important. Once you get the idea, use your card which you need to restore the files on.
The way most of these programs work varies some from program to program. But they all will bring back the files which were deleted. Some of the programs do not restore the date or the original numbers, others do. If anything was written to the card since the deletion took place, then some of the files will not be able to be restored.
Some of the programs I used and tested did a great job, but they do not do it in a snap. They all take some time to complete the operation. They will not alter the card data at all. The programs I tried will copy to a folder all deleted files they find.

What is the best free program to recover deleted pictures from Olympus FE-25 camera?

First of all, do not save any new file to camera's memory card.

Take out memory card, and connect it to computer using a card reader. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in Windows Explorer.
You can then recover photos from camera by downloading this photo recovery software
http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/Back-Up-and-Recovery/Asoftech-Photo-Recovery.shtml
Install and open the photo recovery software, select the memory card, and click 'Start' button.

Menu button not working

Delete the photos from your computer. Most camera software has the option of copying or moving the pictures to your computer. Moving them will free up the space on your flash card. Sometimes the software will let you delete the photos directly. If this does not work, then take the card out and find a friend with a card reader in their computer. They should be able to help you open the file on the card with the photos (often named DCIM). Then you can delete the photos just like you would delete a file. If you can find a friend with a card reader, take the card to a photo printer and beg a favor.

Missing photos

The camera has no internal memory.

If you hit the format button, you will lose images without warning. I am not sure if this is what you did, but if you really need the images, stop using the card for the moment and try some data recovery software:

www.z-a-recovery.com it's free and effective.

Hope this helps!
