Sadly, almost always when this happens, the only solution is to remove the radio and take it apart to retrieve the cd and replace the radio with either an aftermarket or a factory replacement (factory replacements from the dealership are very expensive). The reason for replacement, unless you take your time and know what you are doing 90% of the time the radio wont work after it is reassembled and if it does work again, your cd feature probably wont work again... that been sad, try unhooking the battery for several minutes and then try to eject it again. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...

So i installed my cd player in my car, all the wiring is correct and when i started the car to see if it works, the cd player does not turn on, then to compound matters the power door locks don't work and...

As you mentioned that " CD player does not turn on".By this do you mean to say that there is no power to the radio.Or there is power to the radio but nothing is getting started on radio/stereo unit. Also is it after market radio unit or is a factory installed company radio. In some cases its noticed that radio does get started till the exact radio code is inserted. In that case you can get the radio codes from the local dodge car dealer. But if its not a radio code problem, but the power related problem then the radio connections has to be checked. Also some after market radio/stereo units are not compatible with car.So that is also possible. ------------- Get this possibilities confirmed. So this will help to retrieve the exact cause of the problem.Thanks.Helpmech.

Cds are stuck in the default cd player of 2001 Dodge Intrepid. How do I get them out?

The first step is turning the car off. Then before turning the key back on, push and hold the Eject button then turn the ignition on. If the CD fails to eject then you can use a old CD and try to insert it into the CD Player, just as it try's to take your second CD pull it out and hit the Eject button again. This will usually get a Dodge CD player to Eject.
If this fails then the CD player must be removed and a manual eject can be performed.

I have a CD STUCK in my 2004 dodge Durango. How

1st try to hit the eject button multiple times in a row. If this doesn't work you have 3 options.
1= pull the radio unit, disassemble case, gingerly remove CD, and reassemble.
2=Go to dealer or repair shop and have them remove. If you have a warranty left, mopar should be able to help. Factory radios have been a problem with Mopar for years.
3= Go buy a new CD and forget about it

There may be a small pinhole in the front side of the player which into you may stick a straightened paper clip in abuot one inch straight in and the tray/trays should open. Thanks, Dana

Wiring for the 97 Intrepid radio

Do yourself a big favor & buy the adapter plug for the harness, that converts your Chrysler harness to easy install of aftermarket stereo. Any autoparts or audio store should have them.

2004 Intrepid RBB Radio/Cassette with CD Changer Controls

most chrysler radios except the infinity series are interchangeable.
the infinity had a power amplifier .
best thing, remove the trim plate from around the radio with a flat blade.there is 4 bolts holding the radio in.remove the radio plugs on the back for antenna, speakers, and power ...take that to a wrecker, and see if the cd deck looks and works the same.they may even let you try it first...

Wiring difference

If your installing a stock radio/cd player from another Dodge the wiring plug is the same and will fit.If your installing a aftermarket radio/cd player(JVC,Pioneer, etc)you will need to buy a adapter plug that wires up to the radio and is a direct fit to your factory wire harness,so your not cutting your wires. When you buy the adapter plug it comes with a wire diagram of which wire is what.Your aftermarket radio should have a diagram also, either on it or in the manual.Hope this helps you.
