For that you need to set screen resolution of display to 1024*768.
For that go to control panel->display ->property then change screen resolution to 1024*768 then apply and ok.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
Thanks for using FixYa.

If you have a problem with the monitor. Try to adjust the monitor settings with regard to the image position. Press the Menu button on your monitor look for the horizontal and vertical and try to resize it. If that does not work or if you do not have those menu then change the resolution of your computer by right clicking the desktop and go to properties. Click Settings Tab and adjust your resolution from there.

If what you are talking about is the background image or the wallpaper. Change the position to stretch. Right click again the desktop go to properties. Then Click on the Desktop Tab and click the position dropdown. Choose stretch.

If the Image you are talking about is an image you are editing using an image or graphic editing software then change the view. Zoom it out a bit so that it fits the screen.

If you have any other concern feel free to leave a comment. Thank you.

Sorry my screen is too large to read down, my scroll down is covered

Change the resolution of the monitor/screen. On the desktop, point somewhere where there are no icons. Right click the Mouse button and select Screen Resolution or graphics properties. Click the tab RESOLUTION. If the computer does not show you any higher resolution, the monitor may not be able to display it.

Dell E177FPB monitor has ghost images "bleeding"

I had dual monitor with color bleed to the right. The solution was
1) identify optimal resolution for both monitors ( Dell 198wfp @ 1400 x 900) and (Laptop @ 1200 x 800) 2) check colour setting (32 bit or 16 bit) 3) reduce colour setting down to 16 bit) 4) Check performance 5) reduce screen resolution 6) check 7) cycle between screen color and screen resolution 8) if no luck, check updating the drivers for graphic card 9) if no luck, check updating monitor drivers 10) if no luck, check altering memory set aside for graphics (onboard memory for example or off-graphics-chip-on-RAM-memory) 11) Monitor checking software is very helpful : try "http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?id=22" for the Nokia Monitor Test (a CRT tester) or any other freeware/shareware testing program such as passmark's products etc.,
You might just have to suffer with a large workspace and mungy grapics performance though ... I am.

When I went to put a picture on Craig's list I was told the image was to large. How do I reduce the picture size to fit on to Craig's listing?

There are a number of ways of resizing graphics and pictures. I don't know what programs you have on your computer. If you have a utility that goes along with a digital camera, it will allow you to resize pics.
If you don't, you can use Irfanview which is free and you can get it at www.irfanview.com

Are Dell monitors not compatible with older HP Pavilion Computer? I tried to connect my HP CPU to a Dell monitor and it will not recognize it at all.

It shouldn't make any difference which monitor you are connecting to any computer. In fact, I am running a 19" HP Flat Panel on my Dell Dimension 2400 right now. It is NOT a wide screen monitor as the Dell built in graphics card will not support the RESOLUTION RATIO required for the wide screen. Check what setting is "native resolution" for your monitor and see if your graphics card will support it. If not, using your old monitor, try different resolution settings. Right click on your desk top, click on properties and that should bring up the display properties box. Try a lower setting as larger settings are the ones that will give you a black screen. It will probably give you a smaller picture on your old monitor, or perhaps smaller or larger icons on the desk top. Accept the new settings, turn off your computer and switch monitors, and turn your computer back on. If you get a picture, but it does not fill the whole screen or the icons seem too large or small, then go back into properties from the desktop and try a different resolution ratio until the picture seems correct.

Screen Resolution

THE DRIVERS MAY NOT SUPPORT THAT BIG OF MONITOR AND THE VIDEO CARD GRAPHICS MAY NOT BE ABLE TO SUPPORT THE SCREEN, PUT IT ON 720X600 SEE WHAT HAPPENS OR PUT ON LOWEST SETTING ON THE PC GRAFTIC SETTING OR LARGES RESULUTIONS SETTING, THE SOFTWARE MAYNOT SUPPORT THE TV, VESA - VERSA
MANUFACTOR IS NOT COMPATIBLE. AND I MAYBE TOTALLY WRONG
LETS SAY THE VIDEO CARD AND GRAPHICS ARE MADE FROM BOTH MANUFACTURES THAN CALL THE VENTER AND SENT THE CONVERSION SOFTWARE TO DO THAT .

JUST THINK WHEN THEY MAKE A MOVIE IT IS ON A LARGE SREEN AT THE THEATER 6-8 FT
SCREEN AND THAN IT COMES ON TO DVD THEY HAVE TO USE SOME SOFTWARE TO REDUCE THE PITCHURE SO IT CAN FIT ON THE TV SCREEN OR YOU WILL ONLY SEE PART OF THE SCREEN THAT CAN FOCUS ON

Oblong pictures

The issue here is that you have a low resolution picture and a high resolution display. Windows is "stretching" the smaller, low resolution picture so that it will fit across the larger area, thus distorting it. Right click on the desktop and select properties. Go to the Desktop tab. There should be an item there for position. Is it set to Stretch? If it is, then this is causing the problem. Set it to center, and it should appear fine. If you want to keep this from happening: 1) User higher resolution pictures. 2) Turn down the resolution on your screen (this can be done from the Settings tab of display properties).
