Question about Computers & Internet
Can't reinstall windows XP operating system on my IBM desk top. Get message ''BIOS not fully ACPI compliant. Visit http://www.hard-ware update.com for an updated BIOS.'' Where do I down load these drivers?
Ha! Old OS, old URL; possibly just an old desktop not up to the task of running WinXP.
It's a new BIOS you'd flash your system with, and probably a push between your motherboard's BIOS having an update (you'd go to the mobo's maker's site, e.g. that of ASUS, Gigabyte, Intel, etc.; read the screen-print on the board; to get the update) and telling WinXP to install anyhow using a handy force-install option.
