Question about Computers & Internet
First ..you have to let me know the motherboard name so to get to the manufacturer site and download a user guide..manual ...there will be explained all the cables for the front panel ..
.but usually they are placed in a 13 24 57 68 ...formation ...and the numbering is made from the left side facing the pin plug ..with the margin down..the 1 will be on the margin (down ) 2 in the other sidetoward the middle of the board..3 near the 1 and so on ..practically zig zag ..this way will be one by one for ..
The main power connector ..will always be placed from the left side..in case you get a 20 pin into a 24 plug ..
the jumpers for the bios in the 12 position if there are 3 of them ...and see cause it is written there the clear bios position ...the correct it is the other one ..
the Hdd itself ..if it is a Ide one ...you have to look on its sticker cause it has a mapping for the master ..slave ..and cable positions..
if you use a ide ribbon ..and in the master position ..(first plug not middle )you have to set the jumpers of the hdd for master ..no matter in what slot you plug it on the mother board..primary or secondary ..the issue is to select the pin settings according with the position on the cable ..(also written on the cable )
the rest ..just gets in their places..but I guess i will be looking for a scheme after all...
In regards the drivers ..you have to download the drivers from the motherboard manufacturer just in case you use on board devices for sound and video ..if you have pci or agp ones..you have to use the driver disk that came with them or to see the name written on them ..and look on their manufacturer site..(in accord with the operation system for each )
if you had issues with the drivers the problem was either devices bought separately and not on board..or the operation system chosen in the wrong way ..
so ..for better guidance ...if this will not make light ..gibe me the motherboard name...and if you have sound and video card ..separately ...their name too..
specify what operation system you intend to use..
and for any other devices you use on it and not have a driver let me know..and specify the exact name ..
I guess this covers all for now..the fisr issue is to locate a user manual if you do not have one ..for the motherboard ..if you do have ..in there will be the all the mapping for cables ..one by one ..with name and numbers and the position number ..
