Question about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S750 Digital Camera
My son's camera turns on,displays all the menu info, what mode the camera is in,flash works..but there are no images on the LCD screen or when I connect pictures I've shot to the PC...every images shows up black. The camera hasn't been dropped or gotten wet. I've reformatted the memory duo card, reset the camera to factory settings..it is still black..but for one picture I think saved on the camera itself...the LCD screen displays this picture when I go to it.Actually,it is gone now that I reset..but I know the LCD works since it did display this old picture..but the camera won't take any new ones. The blue screen (when I press down the bottom left button says "no file in this folder and top right a little 101-0/0.Please Help ,we are desperate for his camera to work !
Let me know is it Sony DSC-S750 camera or any other model?
This kind of problem is related with ccd imager chip and camera lens assembly and camera will be take apart to get it fixed.

Have you checked the display mode you're in? If you have the display set to off (to save power) and also the picture review time set to off, then you'll just see a black screen. Try pressing the 'Disp.' button below the screen when the camera is on - it should cycle through different settings with each press: Off, On, On with picture info. Similarly, in the playback mode this will show you more or less info about the picture you are viewing.
Even if the display is switched off, if you have your 'review' option in the menu set to anything other than Off (i.e. 2 seconds), then you should see the picture you've taken appear on the screen straight after taking it.
If it's not that, then I don't know the answer....
