What is causing my refrigerator (Kenmore - 10 plus years old) to be dripping (center back) water which then freezes, thaws, drips more water, freezes and thaws? Is this fixable? Food cannot be placed in the back of the fridge or it will freeze. Food towards the front is okay. I have been keeping towels in the back to catch the dripping water and then they freeze. I vacuumed the coils underneath the fridge but no change in the dripping and freezing. Is this fixable at a reasonable price?

Ice maker is getting water to the back and to water dispenser but will not make ice

Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.

The water inlet valve on the back of unit opens when the ice maker needs water. If the valve doesn't seal good because of sediment or wear it will continue to drip and when the water reaches the ice maker supply tube it will freeze. You can take the water line off the valve and watch to see if it drips.

Water inside refrigerator

Even though it doesn't seem like it's coming from your freezer, morre than likely that's where it's coming from. At the back of the fridge there will be a drip tray that actually catches the water from the thawing freeze. One way to avoid access water is to simply turn down your freezer and fridge. Usually if they are number 0-10, both frigde and freezer should be set on the 5 level.

Freezer is thawing - water dripping -

Hi, if the clicking noise is coming from the back, it is the relay on the compressor. It os possible that the compressor is bad but, most common it is the relay.

Water drains from freezer compartment into refridgerator

If the freezer is on top then empty out the freezer and remove the bottom and back liner of the freezer compartment usually phillips screws. In the back you will see the freezer coils along with a defrost element. Below these two items u will see a drip tray that collects water from the coils on defrost cycle, in the center of the pan will be a drain hole that connects to a hose that leads to a pan under the refrigerator.Normally the water is collected there and evaporated. The hole in the tray in the freezer is clogged. Thaw it and clean it until you can pour water in it and it goes to the pan down below. please rate me

Slow dripping water from top freezer into the main fridge

We just got rid of our 26 year old Kenmore for this reason. In 26 years I used a hair dryer to thaw out a tube toward the back of the refrigerator. At least in ours when the tube gets frozen shut the water had nowhere to go but in our egg tray.

Frige has water dripping in from freezer

Hi, Check the door seal.

Ice is often caused by warm, moist air getting into the freezer and condensating, then freezing.
