Question about HP Pavilion dv9000z Notebook

1 Answer

I would like to transfer picture and video files from camera chip onto disk. I have purchased maxell DVD-R inkjet printable disk and have HP Pavilion laptop with operating Vista. There is a warning notice on disk packaging that use of this disk with some incompatible DVD-R drives/recorders may cause irriversible damage to both. Is my comp compatible, where to read about driver's characteristics?

Hi gmakarenia. You don´t have to worry. Download those files to your computer and then use any burn software such as Nero or Roxio and create a "Data" Disk and follow instructions. Remember to click on "Finalize disk" (meaning you can add files later but you are sure you can read it on any computer). I´m not sure if it has to do with the software to design and print the DVDs on Vista but I highly doubt so...I hope this helps. If you still have a problem, let us know. We are here to help. Please do not forget to rate and provide positive feedback for our fast/free support todal. Thank you :D

Verbatim CD-R 52X Printable disc. What does the term ' Silver Inkjet Printable" mean and how do I use it. Thank you.

> silver inkjet printable

It means that in addition to the "bottom" of the disk being capable of being "burned" by a CD/DVD writer, that the "top" of the disk is capable of absorbing ink, if you put the disk (instead of a sheet of paper) through an inkjet printer, and print some images/text onto the surface, to create a professional-looking label on your disk.

Questions???

Hitachi wants you to use the AC adapter to do any image transfers.
I didn't find a way to transfer from the dvd to the ram ship. You can download the manual from here.

Leave a comment if you have a question and I may be able to help you. Or if you have a problem getting the manual I'll see about getting the pages you need.

Download from PC to HP photosmart 435

Hi kearle,

You may find it easier to purchase a media card reader for transferring the files. This is a small device that allows you to connect the media card to your computer like a drive, thus allowing you to move files onto the card.

Thank you,

How does one transfer the video or 'still pictures' from Canon DC210 Camcorder onto their PC?

All you should have to do is finalize the disc. Put it in your DVD drive and select the scenes and photos. you need to have DVD playback software to play the disc also if its a DUAL layer disc you have to make sure the drive in your PC can play DL.
Enjoy,
Lee

Transfer footage from DVD to Computer for editing

I use ISO Buster to read the AVCHD footage into my computer and then edit with Pinnacle Studio. With ISO Buster, you place the 3" AVCHD DVD into your regular DVD Rom drive on your computer and it will rip the raw files directly from the disk. You cannot transfer the movies from the DX1 to Pinnacle or any other editor using the USB cable.

Transfering video clips?

Make sure you're using a program that recognizes video files. iPhoto, for example, doesn't. iMovie does.

Trouble transferring video onto PC

First thing to try is updating the picture package software(assuming you have windows XP); http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=DCRDVD403&UpdateType=Everything&SelectOS=7 Probably worth uninstalling and reinstalling the program before applying the update. The update doesn't claim to fix your issue, but try it anyway, there are sometimes additional parts to these updates. Here is the link for the user manual if you need it; http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/model-documents.pl?mdl=DCRDVD403®ion_id=1 Check page 100 - USB speed setting - see if that makes a difference. Check page 86, it has contact links for pixela, who support the software. If you record a movie, then finalise the disc before trying to transfer the video, this should stop any recording over information without formatting the disc first. then put the disk into your pc dvd drive instead of using the cable link. You should then be able to view the movies using most media player programs. Try a dvd on which there are only movie files, no still images - see if you get the same problem. Hope this helps, please ask again if you still have a problem :)

Transferring video files to my pc

Loading video to PC should be the same as loading your pictures, although they will jist appear as the first frame of your video; looking like a picture. If you hover your mouse over the file you should see a file type as either .mpeg,.avi or mpeg4, you then right click and open with your preferred programme, be it your DVD player or Windows Media player.
