Forgotten my computer access code

If you are referring to the power up access code screen that comes up when you first turn on your computer, it can be erased by removing the disc type button battery located on your motherboard. Make sure computer is un pluged from the power source. Remove the button battery for 30 seconds. Re-install it and power the computer up. It will boot up normally. If you are referring to a lock out of your Operating System, you will need to purchase a password recovery / reset program and load it into your computer during start up using the boot drive options selections located in your start up / set up menus. Its usually called: Boot Options or Boot Drive Options

How to get a computerto boot when it only has a black screen

Hello there everybody<br />Have you ever turned on your computer and hear that it was booting but all you got is a black screen and nothing else?<br />Well here is a simple tip that i have used on literally hundreds of support calls <br />(1) First when this happens power down the computer. <br />(2) unplug the computer from the wall and remove the power cord from the computer.<br />(3). open up the case of the computer.<br />(4). find the wires from the power supply going to the mother board<br /> and remove it from the mother board.<br />(5) now press in on the button that u use to turn on the computer for <br /> 20 seconds this allows for the ESD to be released , if you have a <br /> reset button do the same for this button too.<br />(6). replace the power supply cord onto the motherboard and plug in<br /> the power cord back into the computer <br />(7) plug in the computer and start up the computer .<br /> <br /><br /> Now you should be good to go the reason that this <br /> Happens is that Esd builds up in the system and overtime it will <br /> prevent the monitor from displaying. but once the esd has been <br /> discharged the (PROPER) WAY then it is taken care of ok <br /> <br /> I hope this tip helps you all out <br /> Best regards Michael<br />

Asus mb wl300 amd 64 4000+ won't boot to bios.

To make sure it isn't anything else, pull all cards, and drive cables from the board so the only thing left connected is the power connectors to the motherboard, the speaker, and the power button. Pull all the ram cards.

Now power up the computer. If you hear a series of beeps then the computer recognizes there is no ram on the board. At this point I would take the power supply out and have it tested. If you do not hear a series of beeps I would still have the power supply tested as it could be the 12v is fine but the 5 and 3.3 volt side is bad.

If power supply tests good then I would replace both the motherboard and processor. You take a risk of burning a new processor if it's the motherboard causing the problems.

Asus k8s mx mother board problem

To get rid of this message at boot you must turn off the Chassis Intrusion detector feature. To do this you must restart the computer, as it boots press DEL to enter BIOS.
Under the SECURITY tab in BIOS select CHASSIS INTRUSION and select DISABLE.
Then select EXIT and SAVE CHANGES and OK to reboot the system.

K8 Neo-2 V-2.0

Please connect jPw1 to 4 Pin 12v, this supplies power to CPU. Than enter Bios & find Boot settings. Set the cdrom as boot 1 & hd as boot 2. Check the jumper on the cdrom, as it is the only device on secondary IDE controller it should be set as a master.
It is better to install a fresh copy of windows with a new motherboard. Put your windows CD in the cdrom & the system will boot to it. And your on your way. You can install the drivers for the board after windows has been installed.
Enjoy!

Doesnt boot???????

The best way to troubleshoot this is to start over.
Strip the board bare and add components one at a time.
Do the Power supply and CPU fans spin?
The fact that two boards have done this suggests that some component is faulty or installed improperly. It's not impossible to get two bad boards, but it seems unlikely.
