Question about Canon PIXMA MP130 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Canon Pixma MP130 Printer problem

My printer recently had two new catridges. No problem. It then had a paper jam. After that I have put the printer back on and it is showing the alarm light. It will not do anything else and to turn it off you have to turn it off at the mains. Can not understand what the problem can be. The menu function does not work. Please help. Thanks,.     The printer is not attached to a computer and a do not have a driver disc. The hazard light is still flashing. What else could it be. Helen. Wrexham.

Sounds like the controller board is having a particularly odd experience...can you disconnect from computer, power down, let it sit for 5 min off, then power on, and see how menu looks?

    ok..then you have either a bad power supply or a bad controller card inside. This under warranty, by chance?

How to remove paper jam in Canon MP130 Series printer


Hi,
Examine the paper output tray and the Auto sheet Feeder and then gently remove the jammed papers out.
Press O.K.
Lift the scanner unit open,firmly grasp the jammed paper and gently pull it out.
Close the scanner unit.
Turn the printer off and on.
Now try printing.

Mp130 cartrage jammed. computer message says that the paper is jammed. but their is no paper jammed.


The message on the computer is rather generic.. you will get a paper jam message for many different problems. the series of flashing lights on the printer is a more accurate way to tell what is going on. go to the troubleshooting section of the Canon website to get an accurate idea. Most likely it has a broken paper pickup shaft.

Lcd reads "check printer 5000"


Usually means you have a paper jam. Turn the printer off. Check inside for any bits of paper, remove the printhead. Put the printhead back in and restart the printer

Canon mp130 ink cartridge jammed


Hi,

The unit may have a paper jam or stuck object inside, if you have experience a paper jam error before, check the printer for any object or paper stuck inside, clean roller.

Some error like this can be a problem on the feeder sensor and by this time you may need to replace and repair the unit.

Catridge jammed


check to make sure there is nothing obstructing the carriage and the paper feed area, sometimes things can get in there mysteriously :) I have found all kinds of things, there could also be a small bit of paper jammed up in there keeping things from operating smoothly.

Printer gives an error.


maybe the paper needs to be riffled(run your fingers through it before placing it in the tray)..make certain that your paper is not offset in tray, as well..
