OK I have the OEM manual for the radio in my 1991 BMW 318 i. It says it is model
    88 88 1 600 175
and it is described as :

    BMW ANIT-THEFT CD-READY RADIO.

Does this help for any one of you out there who can help me input the correct anti theft code to unlock this radio?

I appreciate your resply but I am not going to remove my radio for that. I am not that mechanically inclined and I dont want to mess up a pretty good looking dash.
Is not there SOMEONE out there that has one of these cra**y OEM cassette players that can help me out for a BMW 91 318i ?
Does even BMW know what model it is or have the code to unlock the bloody thing?

    F 01185896 D

So does this help me at all with theunlock code and procedure to unlock this OEM AM/FM/WB Cassette radio in my 1991 BMW 318 i ? Again I presume it is an ALPINE but tere is nothing on the radio(front or back
    that states manufacturer.
Again I was toild the unlock code was 63322 but it does not work. Is this the right code and am I doing it the right way?

It all depends on which type of radio it is.

Post the radio MODEL number plus ALL the letters+numbers on any labels or barcodes

I do not recognise the model number 88 88 1 600 175 quoted. These older BMW Alpine radios usually have a model number beginning with CM ****.
The radio will have to be removed from the dashboard and then post all the letters+numbers found on any labels, barcodes or stamped in the metal casing

Each radio has a different code that can ONLY be identified by the dealer using the car VIN number (and the original factory database) OR by decode calculator software using the SERIAL NUMBER found on the casing OR by taking the radio into a Radio Decoding Service so that they can electronically read the code inside the radio`s memory chip or wiring.

As the dealer has presumably given you the original code by using the VIN number....and this does NOT work , then it looks as though the radio may have been recoded to a completely different number to the one it left the factory with ( Remember it is nearly 20 years old) or it uses a wired code system inside the radio.

This means that if you require a working radio , then it will have to be removed from the dashboard , either to be taken into a Radio Decoding Service...or replacing with another radio with a working code ..

Hi people, I need the Code to unlock the my Alpine/Mercedes Benz Audio 10 CD ; n: MF2910 ; serial number : AL291010543544 THANKS!!!

you need to pull the radio out and look on the radio to see if it is on the radio. If it is not on the radio the only way to get this code it to call the dealer with the vin number of your car.

I have unpluged my batterieand i need a code to program my cd player in order to be able to have full access to my radio on my 2004 honda civic si 1.7 liter motor

You are one of the many unlucky people who have an anti-theft system in the OEM radio that locks it when you improperly remove it, or if it loses power for too long, and unfortunetly there is no easy or free way to solve this problem. You will need to go to your local Honda dealer and have them unlock the radio for you. Only a dealer can obtain the unlock code for a specific radio from the Honda support center. And of course, they will charge you for the service. Just how much they charge depends on the dealer. If you want another alternative though, you can always take the OEM radio out of the car and replace it with an aftermarket model, like a Kenwood, Pioneer, Alpine, Sony or the like. Some models will cost about the same ammount that the dealer might charge for unlocking the radio. And the aftermarket models will never ask for a code to make it work again after you unplugged the battery.

Hi how are you I have a 1996 Saturn SL the radio is asking for a lock code

Unfortunetly, you will need to go to your local GM dealer and have them get the code and unlock the radio, and of course they will charge for it. The anti-theft lock activated on the radio, either cause it was improperly removed, or the battery has been unplugged or drained for too long. And to get the code, you need the car with you to prove it's not some stolen radio you are trying to get up and running, and then they will need to call the GM support center with their dealer code so that GM will give them the code to unlock it. I know it sucks, but there is no other way unfortunetly. Some VW and Honda owners also have the same problem as you so don't worry you're not alone. Although, if you want to fix the problem once and for all, just take the radio out of there and replace it with an aftermarket unit like a Sony, Pioneer, Alpine or whatever. That way the radio will never ask you for a code like that again since it won't be the OEM radio, and you will also usually have a better sound with an aftermarket unit.
