There is a screw or a nut that you need to turn counter clock wise to remove and loosen.

I have a hobart mixer D340, 40 qts. and the start botton switch is not working. Can you teach me how to change it? If you have a video that I can see to solve this problem . Thanks, I be waiting for your...

This should be a fairly simple job, the only thing that may cause some people trouble would be if the switch has solder and not push on connections. This is an NO switch (normally open) Part # 00-087711-183-4 with two wires, one each to either connection.
1.Unplugged or turn the breaker off for the mixer, pull the cap off the start button.
    2. Remove one of the lower screws from the electrical control panel plate and use it to get two screws 1 inch or longer that are the same size and thread.
    2. Remove the other bottom screw from the control plate and screw the 2 longer screws into the bottom holes no more than one quarter of an inch. The screws will give you room to work and support the control panel plate while you are replacing the switch. Remove the 2 top screws that hold the electrical control plate to the machine.
2.Remove the 2 screws from the front of the control plate that secure the start button in place.
    3. Install the new switch, make the electrical connections, replace the 4 screws in the control plate, and push the cap back on the start button, Plug in the machine or turn the breaker back on and you're done.
PS: you should avoid touching the other components on the electrical control panel.

    The lever came off (drive/neutral)

The pedal assembly must be replaced,( part # 558401S), as it has a gear pressed to it which has come loose. The handle, switch plate, and upper motor cover must be removed first. To remove the plastic switch plate, remove it's screws and insert a flat screwdriver into the rectangular slot in it to pop it of. Four screws hold the motor cover in place. Next the switch button must be removed. The Techdrive assembly can be removed by removing the three screws on the bottom. Drop the drive down, and unhook it's belt from the gear on the end of the armature shaft. The pedal assembly can be removed by removing the remaining screw from the bottom of the drive unit. The N/D pedal has two parts - the pedal itself, and the shift cam. Observe carefully how these units fit together. After installing the new pedal and replacing the screw and washer to secure it, re-install the drive unit. The shift must be in the Drive position to install it, and replace the belt. Be sure to line up the arm on the drive unit so that it engages the slot at the base of the handle pivot and re-install the other items

My 2002 Pontiac Grand Am's heater/ air cond fan switch is bad. how do i replace it

If I've understood u correctly follow the wire from the fan to the switch which is usually mounted on or by the thermostat housing. Remove the coolant cap to releive the pressure. Remove the plug from the switch & Use a wrench to remove it but have the replacement one ready to install (thread sealer etc) & prepare for some coolant loss. put in the new one & tighten it snug but not over tighten. Plug it back in & u should be good to go

Is it difficult to replace the headlight switch on my 87 Chrysler 5th Ave.? When I turn-on the headlights, they don't turn-on real good...I have to pull the switch out, fully, several times for them to...

Pretty simple actually....here is the directions on how to do it:

    1. Remove the headlamp switch bezel from the instrument panel by unsnapping the attaching tangs.
    2. Remove the 3 screws securing the switch mounting plate to the instrument panel, then pull the switch and mounting plate rearward and out of the instrument panel opening.
    3. Disengage the electrical connector at the switch. Press the release button on the bottom of the switch and then pull the knob and shaft out of the switch.
    4. Detach the headlamp switch escutcheon from the mounting plate by unsnapping the attaching tangs and removing it, then unscrew the switch-to-mounting plate retaining nut and pull the switch off the mounting plate.

    To install:

    1. Position the switch onto the mounting plate and install the retaining nut, then snap the headlamp switch escutcheon back into position.
    2. Slide the knob shaft into the switch until it locks. Reattach the switch electrical connector.
    3. Install the mounting plate onto the instrument panel. Install the 3 attaching screws.
    4. Snap the headlamp switch bezel back into position.

    Fisher paykel heater plate replacement

The problem is the thermal fuse in the bottom drawer which shuts of the controller power. But the thermal fuse is part of the heater assembly. So you will have to replace the lot.

It is not an easy procedure to replace the heater assembly as the whole system is intervined with the pump and motor components.

You will have to disconnect all wiring and hoses from the base of the drawer once you have it out after removing the transparent plastic wiring cover.

Then you have to release the locking ring to remove the pump and motor assembly along with the heater plate.

Hope this helps. please rate the solution if ok otherwise drop a comment.

Someone tried to steal my truck how do i get the ignition out and replace it

YOUR TRUCK HAS WHAT IS CALLED A VATS KEY, SO YOU WILL HAVE TO HAVE THE KEY PROGRAMMED TO THE TRUCK ,EVEN AFTER YOU REPLACE THE SWITCH,YOU WILL PROBABLY NEED THE VIN # TO GET THE CORRECT SWITCH FOR YOU TRUCK ,BUT TO REPLACE THE SWITCH YOU WILL NEED SEVERAL TOOLS ,LIKE A COLUMN LOCK PLATE COMPRESSER LOCK RING PLIERS, A SET OF PICKS TO GET THE LOCK PLATE LOCK RING OFF,AND A PULLER SET TO REMOVE THE STEERING WHEEL,AFTER THE WHEEL IS OFF ,GENTLY AS YOU CAN PULL THE SRS CLOCKSPRING OUT FAR ENOUGH TO GET TO THE LOCK PLATE ,AFTER THE PLATE IS OFF,TAKE THE SCREW OUT OF THE TURN SIGNAL ARM,& POSSIBLY THE HAZZARD SWITCH KNOB THEN REMOVE THE THREE SCREWS HOLDING THE T-SIGNAL SWITCH (IF APPLIES TO THIS TRUCK) IF NOT AFTER LOCK PLATE YOU WILL SEE A TORX SCREW ON RH BOTTOM INSIDE COLUMN,REMOVE IT & THE SWITCH WILL SLIDE OUT . I WOULD RECOMMEND LETTING A PROFESSIONAL DO IT BECAUSE OF THE SECURITY SYSTEM FOR THE KEY & IGNITION.

How do I replace the brush roll on my oreck xl??

Turn the vacume upside down. Remove the 5 screws on the bottom plate. 3 are near the brush roll, and 2 are near the back. Remove the bottom plate. take the belt off the motor end. pull up on both ends of the brush roll. Put new brush roll on making sure that you put both ends to the new position, not old. ( it is marked on one end, and there are marks on the side that goes up so the can match.)(If putting back the old brush roll you can switch to the old position. After a year or two you can switch the new brush roll to the old position.) Put the bels back on the motor shaft and then stretch and start the belt on the brush roll and rotate the brushroll by hand untill the belt is all the way on.
put the bottom plate back on and tighten the 5 bottom screws.
