I have a wireless network that is from the cable company. Through their router, then to my Mac Base station. My TV is a new LG 550. It does have usb links.

I have no idea what you mean when you say SSID number

- Can you give me a short description of your network?
- What is the brand and model number of your TV?
- Does the TV have a USB port and wireless capability?
- What is the brand and model number of your router?
- Please provide me also the SSID and wireless channel of your router.

Please provide answers so that I could think what kind of network setup do you have.

Thank you and good luck!

I search for LG 550, but it showed me the LG550 phone and not TV. Are you sure that the LG 550 is the exact model number of the TV? Sorry, but I couldn't find a manual.

On my understanding, you have a working router (wireless router?) where your Mac is connected to. And it seems that using the WUSB600N, you would like to have an internet connection in your TV, am I correct?

If I assumed correct, and you mentioned that your TV has USB links (USB cable or ports), where you can connect the WUSB600N.

To setup the WUSB600N, you need to connect this USB device directly to the LG TV and install the driver or CD that came with the device. If your TV does not have a built-in DVD player, I'm not sure if there's a way to download the driver into a computer and transfer it to the TV.

Try to connect the WUSB600N to the TV, and see if the TV will install its driver automatically (without using the CD). If it does, you need to configure that WUSB utility and put the SSID and wireless channel of your router. That should give you an internet access to the TV.

HOWEVER, if you're trying to do something else aside from my assumption, please let me know so that we can clarify the setup that you would like to do.

    Thank you!

SSID is the name of the wireless access point. It will show once you turn on the airport of your Mac. The Mac will automatically detect the SSID (wireless name) of the router, if the router's wireless connection is enabled.

The wireless channel is the wireless range that the router could give. The router and the wireless client should use the same wireless channel in order for them to communicate.

    Thank you!

Try to Install this driver for Windows XP, directly from their website.
By the way, if your adapter's version is 1.0, its user guide is here. On the other hand, if it is 2.0, the corresponding user guide can be found here.
Hope you are able to sort your problems out soon.
