My canon A640 shows" Card loked"- how to unlock help please

If you take out the memory card and look at it,it has a little button on the side, slide it over and then slap it back in the camera and that should take care of the problem.
If this not working for you then upgrade your camera`s firmware from your manufacture`s website.

Card locked

You didn't specify the make and model of your camera so I assume it uses SD cards.
SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

The card is loked and i need to how to unlocke?

Take the memory card out of your camera and look at it. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

Be sure you don't have the SD card loked (look at the tab on the SD card itself). You may be seeing CHA or something similar in the viewfiner too.

Hoe do take off card loke

Greetings btkw24159,

There is a slide on the side of the card that can sometimes get moved to the locked position accidentally. Simply slide this to the unlocked position.

Thank you,
