If you take out the memory card and look at it,it has a little button on the side,slide it over and then slap it back in the camera and that should take care of the problem.
If this not working for you then upgrade your camera`s firmware from your manufacture`s website.
You didn't specify the make and model of your camera so I assume it uses SD cards. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.
