to clear document jam: 1 Open the front panel. 2 Carefully remove the jammed document. 3 Close the front panel firmly until it clicks into place.

Hi, Looks like you have a paper jam problem.Pieces of paper are stuck in the roller.Go to Control Panel ->Printers and Fax -> Select you printer and click properties.You will find a Printer Maintainance Wizard,which will have a paper jam clearing wizard.Click this and your printer will work as good as new. If a document jam occurs during a transmission, the message "DOCUMENT JAM" is displayed. If this occurs, follow the procedure below. It is recommended that a duplicate from a copier, of the jammed document be used to reduce the chance of a jam when resending the document. See Chapter 3, "Loading Documents" for document specifications and recommendations which may help avoid paper jams. Note: The power can be left ON when clearing a paper jam. Typical Causes of Document Jams Recommended Procedure The document is fed at an angle. Adjust the Document Guides to the edges of the document. The document paper is too thin or too thick. This answer maybe a little late for you but for anyone else tring to print fax stored in memory:
1. Press Menu - Fax Functions will display
2. Press 2 - Print report will display
3. Press Enter - Last Transact will display
4. Press 7 - Reprint Faxes will display printed the pages
5. Press Enter
This will print all faxes in memory. Press Stop when you have printed the pages you need.
You can print fax log (Press 2 after step 3) to see what is in memory
An H4 code denotes a low temperature or temperature sensor failure problem with the fuser (the device that provides heat and pressure to bond the toner to paper). There may be a peice of paper or part of a peice jammed up inside the fuser that's blocking the sensor, or the fuser is defective and needs to be replaced.
I have had this problem, and have became very furiated.
Clear the Jam by removing and paper you see in from the rear access door.
If you are printing something from a PDF website....... make sure to have it still in the printer schedule.... It will still say printer jam..... but have it there regardless if its something you dont want to have to retype into the pdf form........ After that simply restart your computer. It should resume printer as soon as your computer boots up.....

H4-00 is a fuser related service code. you need to get into the simulation programs and run sim 14 to reset the code. Make sure there is no paper jammed in the fuser. (The hot part on the right side inside the door)
