If your hardware is indeed set up and plugged in properly then that error means it cant see it.
I'll admit I am not really familiar with the items you appear to be using and you didn't give much of a description of what you were doing with what devices.
With devices that have currently been working this either means a power loss on the device or a broken com cable. If the device is integrated it means that the device died. It will need replaced.
Sometimes wriggling connections or connectors will get a device working again for a while. It is usually only a matter of time before another failure though.

Hi Tania,
You receive this notice when the drive and folder the scanner is configured to save the scan is missing. You can correct this by telling the computer where to save the scan. follow this simple steps.

  • On your computer desktop, click Start - open Devices and Printers -
  • Right-click on the printer/ scanner icon and select scan options. Assign a destination folder for saving your new scans.

Netflix account sign in


Netflix offers users the ability to rent movies and TV shows through the mail on DVD or Bluray and also allows users to watch select shows or movies online using a computer or certain other devices.

Occasionally users encounter errors when attempting to log in to their Netflix accounts.

These errors can be as simple as an incorrectly typed password to more complex issues with the Netflix service itself.
Credential Problems

Many login problems are caused by an incorrect email address or password when attempting to log in.

This can be due to typos or other misspellings, or recent password changes that were forgotten. Netflix offers the ability to recover passwords and usernames via the "Need Help Signing In?" link below the login fields on the Netflix home page.

Clicking the link allows the user to recover her password by entering her email address, and also gives the option to advance to a second recovery screen if she does not have access to that email address anymore.

The second screen allows the user to prove her identity by entering the first name, last name and credit card number associated with the Netflix account.

Service Errors

Login problems occasionally occur due to errors with the Netflix service itself.

When these problems occur, a message appears that explains a site error has occurred, directing the user back to the Netflix home page.

The user should attempt logging in again in case of a one-time error, though site-wide service errors do occasionally occur.

Depending on the nature of the error, once logged in the user may experience problems when trying to watch movies instantly or attempting to edit his DVD queue.

Device Connection Errors

When attempting to watch movies or TV shows on Netflix-ready devices such as a Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360 or Roku streaming media player connection errors sometimes occur while the device attempts to log in to the user's Netflix account.

These errors may occur because the Internet connection the devices use is not properly configured, limited bandwidth to and from the user's home or problems with the device-specific version of the Netflix service.

If the device cannot connect and log in to Netflix, the user should check the device's Internet connection and try connecting again later.

QuickBooks attempts to change a damaged transaction or record, you may receive a fatal or unexpected error that contains the value C=44. The C= value in the message indicates the type of error the program has encountered. Typical causes include system lockups and power failures while using QuickBooks. To resolve this issue:
  1. In QuickBooks, select the Window menu and select Close All.
  2. Select the File menu and select Utilities >Verify Data.
  3. If the message "Your data has lost integrity" appears, or the error also occurs while running Verify, select the File menu and select Utilities > Rebuild Data.
  4. When the Rebuild utility has completed, run the Verify utility again to ensure that all problems have been corrected (see step 2).
  5. If the error persists after rebuilding, restore a recent backup that does not generate the error.

When you try to use your modem on a Windows computer, you may receive an error message similar to the following: Error 633 Modem is already in use, or is not configured for Remote Access dial out or The port is in use.
Try this one after the other
1. Verify no other applications that are using the modem. You can open Task Manager to check that by press CTRL+ALT+DEL. Another way to test it is reboot the computer.
2. This behavior may occur when another device with a driver, for example outdated Palm Pilot software, conflicts with the modem.
3. Telephone.ini or unimdm.tsp is missing or damaged.
4. Make sure the modem is setup correctly and may apply SP.
5. Removing and reinstalling it, or apply the new drive may fix the problem.
6. Make sure no two ISDN installed on the same machine and attempt to connect to the same server.

What is happening?

Double-clicking on a backup, portable company file, or a file with an extension other than .qbw, the following error occurs:
An error occurred when QuickBooks tried to create, open, or use the company file. Please try again. If the problem persists, contact Intuit Technical Support and provide them with the following error codes: (-6150,-1006).
Or, if you attempt to double-click the data file without QuickBooks open, the following error occurs:
There was an unexpected error reported while trying to run QuickBooks with company file "path location". Error code 80070057.
Note: More than one error message that includes the error code 80070057 exists. If this is not the exact wording of your error message please refer to one of these other documents:
Error: 80070057 parameter is incorrect" when clicking on a QBB, QBM, QBW, NT, or TLG file from a Google Search Timeline

Why is this happening:
QuickBooks cannot read the company file because the QuickBooks file extension was changed or is the wrong type (.qbm, .qbb, .qbx).
This error can also occur during conversion or creation of a backup or portable company file if QuickBooks detects data damage in the company file.
This error may possibly occur if the QuickBooks installation is damaged.
This error can also be caused by attempting to open the portable company file (.qbm) without having QuickBooks open.

How to fix the problem:
Verify that the file extension displays company name.qbw and not a shortcut.
Copy the company file, change the extension to .qbm, .qbb, or .qbx, and follow the appropriate steps to open a portable file, backup, or accountant's review.
If the error occurs during the conversion or creation of a backup or portable company file, run the Verify utility to check the file for data damage. If it finds damage, run the Rebuild utility.
Repair the QuickBooks installation.
Uninstall, and then reinstall QuickBooks.

I have a Lexmark x5470 and evertime i start my computer now i get an error message which says im32fax.dil not found. How do i stop this from occuring.


Please follow the instructions below.
Step 1: Start the System Configuration Utility

Click Start menu, click Run, type msconfig, and then click OK.
The System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.
Step 2: Configure selective startup options
1. In the System Configuration Utility dialog box, click the General tab, and then click Selective Startup.
2. Click to clear the Load Startup Items check box.
3 When you are prompted, click Restart to restart the computer.
After restarting system.
1. Log on to Windows.
2. When you receive the following message, click to select the Don't show this message or launch the System Configuration Utility when Windows start check box, and then click OK:


Note: Doing this startup programmes will not run in the background however you can start the programmes later from start all programmes.

Burning to cd

When using iTunes for Windows you may get a disc failed error. An unknown error occurred (4280)
In this situation, if you attempt to burn a disc, the following error message may display: The attempt to burn a disc failed. An unknown error occurred (4280) You can resolve this error message by modifying a file in the iTunes CD Configuration folder. First, you need to verify the model of optical drive present. Verifying the Model of the CDRW/DVD Drive Verify that your PC has a Sony CD-RW/DVD CRX830E optical drive installed:
  1. Open iTunes.
  2. In the iTunes Help menu, click Run CD Diagnostics .
  3. Insert an audio CD in the optical drive.
  4. Click OK .
  5. View the results in the CD Diagnostics window:
    • If IDE/CdRomSONY_CDRW/DVD_CRX830E is listed, proceed with the procedure below to resolve the error message.
    • If another drive name is listed, this document does not apply to your computer.
Resolving the Error Message When an IDE/CdRomSONY_CDRW/DVD_CRX830E model optical drive is present, do the following steps to resolve the error message: CAUTION: Take care in using the following steps.
  1. Close iTunes and any other files and software that are open.
  2. Click Start , My Computer , Drive C: , Program Files , iTunes , and CD Configuration to view the files in the CD Configuration folder.
  3. Locate the file gcdrtype.cfg in the CD Configuration folder.
  4. Right-click the file gcdrtype.cfg .
  5. In the drop-down menu, click Open (you may need to select Notepad ) to edit the file gcdrtype.cfg in Notepad .
  6. In the Notepad window, scroll to the bottom lines of the file gcdrtype.cfg .
  7. Locate the line that reads: DRVGENERALFLAGS = MODESEL_NOPAGE01 | MODESEL_NOPAGE05
  8. At the end of this line add " | NOSENDOPC " (the first character is a blank space), so the line then reads: DRVGENERALFLAGS = MODESEL_NOPAGE01 | MODESEL_NOPAGE05 | NOSENDOPC
  9. At the top of the Notepad window, click File , Save .
  10. At the top of the Notepad window, click File , Exit to close the window.
  11. At the top of the CD Configuration window, click File , Close to close the window
  12. Restart the computer.
