My apple macbook won't start and continuously keeps on giving a beep sound.

the beep pre-boot is signaling a kernel panic. It could be bad ram or something else, it's hard to tell without hearing the beep (they signify different things)
1 beep = no RAM installed

2 beeps = incompatible RAM types

3 beeps = no good banks

4 beeps = no good boot images in the boot ROM (and/or bad sys config block)

5 beeps = processor is not usable

taken from http://www.welovemacs.com/whdoallthbme.html
So depending on the beep, it means different things. However in any case I'd suggest taking it to an Apple Authorized Repair Facility. Unless you feel comfortable with assessing the proper solution on your own
Good Luck.

G31TM-P21 normally boots with series of beeps. Now will not boot properly from CD start sequence (for reinstalling op system) and gives a short beep about every 5 seconds. No information found on MSI...

Hi,
According to the sequence of beeps your getting from your computer, ther is a possibility that there is a problem with the memory module or RAM on your computer. Try reseating the memory then try to boot up again.
Cheers!!

On boot up the emachine now beeps every 5 seconds

Reboot with "F8" held down.
you are only booting to bios and minimum disk software. This may give you an indication of your monitor or video driver status.

If you can borrow another monitor from someone, that would confirm your monitors status....

Computer dead and beeping

If it beeps and not boot then it is the post routine telling you there is a problem. The post routine is run when you turn the power on to ensure the computer hardware is ok to run. The manufacturer of the bios routine can tell what is wrong by the type, number and duration of the beeps. Look up the code meanings and it will indicate the problem. If this sounds like nonsense to you then give the make and model of your machine and what the beeps sound like. ( beep beep beep delay beep beep beep) etc. and I'll look it up for you.

HP dx5150 Microtower PC won't start up just beeps

That's what's called a POST beep code. The HP DX5150 beep code info can be found at http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=120&prodSeriesId=447468&prodTypeId=12454&objectID=c00868914,

but for your benefit: 5 beeps means you have a memory problem. Take out the DIMMS (memory sticks) and reseat them. Try to boot. If you get the POST code again, you have bad memory (unlikely, but could also be a bad FSB on the motherboard). If you have more than one memory stick, remove one, try to boot, if you get the error, put it to the other memory slot, try to boot...then do the same procedure with the other stick. If you can get it to boot on one stick, you know the other is bad.

Dell Dimemsion 8200 Won't Boot - Beeping Sequence 5-2-2-1

Often simply disconnecting the power cable, holding power button for 15 seconds, release power button, plug back in will work

Otherwise remove CMOS battery and perform above operation

Hope it works
