2 thirds screen good other third Vertical lines do I need to replace monitor

Hi,
Simple answer is yes. BVuy a new one.
If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
Check the cables, connectors and connections.
Take it to a repair shop.

Benq 567s lcd monitor does not power up. Switch led blinks but goes dead. Tried replacing capacitor 450v 82uf with 400v 100 uf but did not work. please help.

That cap is for the Primary power supply switching circuits. How is the DC secondary side, no blown fuse, shorted transistors in the inverter circuits? Pictures will help, budmrtn@aol.com

It may have the same bd as DELL since BenQ makes monitors for DELL and HP.

Power supply no go. Has DCfrom bridge.

There shoud be a big elcetrolytic cap connecto the bridge rectifier output, ti should have about 150~160 vdc on that cap, if you do not have the dc on the secondary side, ti may be because it sees short circuits (you will hear fainted ticking sound), the power supply should have 5v and 12v at all time. Try heating up the primary circuits with hair dryer to see if will kick on. Post some picture will help, see example here: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
