I have a Kenmore 385.1950280 that has been in storage for

I have a 385.1950280 that has been in storage for years. It will fill a bobbin but when trying to run get a error code. When trying to run in sew mode it will run maybe one turn then error code and refuse to run anymore untill turned off then back on. If you leave the clutch connected and the bobbin pin to the right it will run then stop when using the pedal. But will run again with another push of the pedal without a error code.

When a sewing machine has been in storage for an extended period of time, it will need to go into the shop for service.

There could be several things that need attention and one possibility may be replacement of a circuit board.

Kenmore sensor 70 the bobbin won't fill, when i pull center knob to fill bobbin. the spindle won't turn. to spin the bobbin

Re: Bobbin Winder Won't Turn:
This should not be too difficult to fix if you open the top of the machineto see what is/is not going on inside. Most likely the rubber O-ring, or rubber "Tire", as some call it, is either out of adjustment, dried or worn too much to work. If adjustment is not the problem, than replace it with a new O-Ring of the proper size. With this done, it still will need adjustment. Hope this Helps.

Motor is spinning- needle not going up and down.

Check that the inner part of the flywheel is tightened up. This has to be loosened when winding a bobbin for underthread. Easy to forget to re-tighten it for sewing.

Can't put thread on bobbin

I cannot tell what your problem is. The winder isn't working? The bobbin won't hold the thread so it will fill?

There are threading guides at the sewusa website that may be helpful as they include written instructions along with graphics.

I have a Kenmore as well ,I hope that this will work for you ,too bad that I don't live close to you otherwise I would give a hand. This is the way I fill the bobbin on mine. Mine is located on the top right ,I put the thread into the bobbin hole leaving a small piece of thread hanging for me to hold when I begin the winding, I pull the wheele out to stop the needle from moving while winding, when I am done just push it back in .I run the thread from the spool into the top left it looks like a U turn with a screw go around that without winding just pull it into the bobbin hole. press the foot control and it will begin winding .
