Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

Yesterday I could burn a video but today my burner won't write. I receive a successful completion message - but the DVD is blank. I have a TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-H652L DVD burner, Windows XP Media Center, Sony Vegas 9 Platinum, and DVD Architect 4.5 I have updated the drivers for my Burner but it still won't write. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Can NO LONGER BURN Video Files To My DVD's

Sounds like a DVD drive issue to me since the same thing happens in more than one program. Luckily desktop DVD-burners are quite inexpensive, since you should replace the drive completely with a brand new one. It's the fact that it THINKS it burned correctly that is the nail in the coffin.

I get an error message to use a blank or erasable DVD

I would try simply copying one of the already completed discs using a stable and well known burning program like Nero. Programs like Pinnacle can be very temperamental when exporting their projects to disc.

DVD burns ''successfully''...but actually burns nothing!

What comes to mind is that you are burning to an image file and not your actual burner. Make a small data DVD and name it something obvious such as aaaa. After completion of the disk, do a search for the file and see if it is in actuality on the computer. If it is stored as an image file, you need to select the recorder type to your actual burner.

CD/DVD Combo Drive Just Not Burning DVD

I had problems with tsstcorp in my drive. The software you are using won't work. You need to try sonic or roxio. I had the same problem. Do you have a dell? if so download the updates from the support website. Try a different software because a reinstall of xp should get rid of bugs in system. It sounds like a software issue though.
