My iPod touch will not unlock

Dear,
There is one solution for this, but (-it sucks I know-) it deletes all your music, phots, etc. So be sure that you have a sync (wich you can't make when your iPod is locked) So the solution is:
  1. Plug your iPod into your pc or Mac.
  2. Open iTunes
  3. Click (on the left of your screen) on your iPod
  4. Press repair
  5. And let it do it's thing
Well, I hope I helped you, please let me know.
Kind regards, FriskYR

Update your iPod Software to at least 3.xx version
This is important as lower version of the software would not allow you to download any applications. You can do so from iTunes. Once you connect your iPod Touch or iPhone to the computer and start iTunes, it will tell you if there is a newer version of the software to upgrade. Just follow the instructions.
  • ** Restart your iPod/iPhone
This step is just to reboot your iPod system to make sure the new software is in effect.
  • Step 3 ** Download applications aka games
Make sure your iPhone/iPod Touch is connected to the internet. On your iPod touch/iPhone home page, there will now be a link labeled: 'Apps store'. Select that link. Now, you are free to browse the many applications and games that iTunes has to offer. Some games are free while others may require you to pay. .
  • Step 4 **Install the application aka game
Once you have selected a game to install, tap the box that says, "free" in the right hand corner. It will then read, "Install". Tap the box again. Now, wait for the application to install on your home page.

  • hope this helps out a bit

Updating and Restoring iPod touch Software You can use iTunes to update or reinstall iPod touch software, restore default settings, and delete all data on iPod touch. ââ If you update, the iPod touch software is updated but your downloaded applications, settings, and songs are not affected. ââ If you restore, the latest version of iPod touch software is reinstalled, default settings are restored, and data stored on iPod touch is deleted, including downloaded applications, songs, videos, contacts, photos, calendar information, and any other data. In iTunes 7.7, you can also restore from a backup without deleting data stored on iPod touch. Note: Deleted data is no longer accessible via the iPod touch user interface, but is not permanently erased from your iPod touch until it is overwritten by new data. For information about permanently erasing all content and settings, see “Resetting iPod touch” on page 94. Update or restore iPod touch: 1 Make sure you have an Internet connection and have installed the latest version of iTunes from www.apple.com/itunes. 2 Connect iPod touch to your computer. 3 Select iPod touch in the iTunes sidebar and click the Summary tab. 4 Click “Check for Update.” iTunes tells you if there’s a newer version of the iPod touch software available. 5 Click Update to install the latest version of the software. Or click Restore to restore. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the restore process.

I block my ipod touch with a wrong password

You will need to restore the ipod using itunes on your computer to resolve your issue. Sadly when an ipod gets locked with out the password the ONLY way to unlock it is to restore it. This is not illegal and is listed on the apple support page. That is where you can type in the article number below and review for yourself if you feel the need. CHEERS :)

Last Modified: February 16, 2009 Article: HT1414 Old Article: 305744 Using the Restore function for your iPhone or iPod touch is part of standard troubleshooting procedure. Restoring your device will erase all data from your iPhone or iPod touch, including songs, videos, contacts, photos, calendar information, and any other data. All iPhone or iPod touch settings are restored to their factory condition.
Whenever you restore your iPhone or iPod touch, Apple highly recommends that you perform a sync prior to restoring in order to back up any changes since your last sync. If you have movie rentals on the device, see this document before restoring.
Use the following steps to restore your iPhone or iPod touch:
Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes installed and running before attempting to update. Connect your iPhone or iPod touch to your computer. Select your iPhone or iPod touch when it appears in iTunes under Devices. Select the Summary tab. Select the Restore option. When prompted to back up your iPhone or iPod touch's settings before restoring, select the Back Up option (as seen in the image below). If have just backed up the device, it is not necessary to create another.
Select the Restore option when iTunes prompts you (As long as you've backed up your device, you should not have to worry about restoring your phone).
Once the restore process has completed the iPhone or iPod touch restarts and displays the Apple logo while starting up

    Unlock code from ipod

It depends on the severity and the settings you have given the iPod... Here's the full explanation. I would recommend reading the second paragraph first, but the solution if you really forgot your password is in the first paragraph.
If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device on the computer that was used to originally sync the iPhone or iPod touch so that you can reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced to the iPhone or iPod touch, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode but your data will not be present. Refer to "Updating and restoring iPhone and iPod touch software."

"If you enter the wrong passcode too many times, you'll see a message that says "iPhone is disabled" and to try again later. If you repeatedly enter the wrong passcode, iPhone or iPod touch will be disabled for longer intervals, before you can try again. After too many unsuccessful attempts, you won't be able to try again until you connect to the computer you normally sync with. Note that starting with iPhone 2.1 software, there is a setting to cause the device to erase itself after 10 consecutive incorrect password attempts. This setting is off by default. It  can be turned on by tapping Settings > General > Passcode Lock after you enter a correct passcode."

    Pin locked apple ipod 16gb

Apple Supportdocumented how to perform a reset. However, note that resetting theiPhone or iPod is not the same with restoring the iPhone or iPod.Restore will erase and wipe out completely all information and datathat contained inside the device, including musics, songs, videos, contacts, photos, calendar information, call lists, maps, applicationsinstalled and any other data. All iPhone or iPod Touchsettings are restored to their factory condition. Meanwhile, reset ismore about hard reset, for those familiar with terms associated withPDA, Palm or Windows Mobile. In other word, reset is simply a forcedreboot, where power is cut off from iPhone or iPod Touch to restart the device from fresh.

To reset the iPhone or iPod Touch, press and hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Homebutton simultaneously at the same time for at least ten seconds, thenthe LCD display will clear and the Apple logo appears on the blackbackground. When Apple logo appears, reset is done.
