Hi. Thanks for your response. I've reviewed the Kohler web-site, but it does not seem to address the problem I am having.

The handle fell off of the original faucet that was installed by our builder. I ordered the replacement handle from Kohler but it does not seem to want to fit onto the new spline adapter that I ordered. I know I have the right parts because they are identical to the parts that I am replacing. I even spoke with someone extensively at Kohler.

I'm hoping there is a "trick" to getting the handle to slide onto the spline adapter. If you've installed one of these faucets before, please let me know if I'm missing something. My next step is to order another handle, in hopes that the one I have is just defective.

    Thanks again!
    Toni

SOURCE: I have a Kohler Clairette

Hi mkufs1,
Did you remove both screws from the handle?

If so, then try using a bit more muscle on it or rapping it with a wrench with a towel wrapped around it to protect the finish. A lot of times the handle will be stuck because of deposits built up from the leak.

Good luck. If the helps, I'd appreciate your vote. Thanks,

Handie Andie

Handle stuck on k-692-cp clairette

This is a common problem. You can try wiggling it to work it loose but avoid beating or prying as that will destroy the faucet. You might have luck applying penetrating oil and wiggling. You also can use a plumbing handle puller.

How do you remove the lever of a kitchen kohler clairette faucet, it seems to be stuck

On the front of the faucet handle, there is a small plastic cover with an emblem on it. Gently pry it off with a sharp knife blade. Next you will notice a small "allen" screw head. Remove it by turning it counter clockwise until it's loose. (lefty loosie - righty tighty) Lift the handle straight up to remove.

The kitchen sink faucet is clogged

If it just the hot or just the cold then it will be the shutoff valve not the faucet. replace the valve/s under the sink Try checking the screen in the head of the faucet for sand. If it does not have a screen(some dont) then it will have a restrictor usually green in color that may have debris inside of it.

When my dish washer discharge water instead of the water going out the drain it come out the overflow valve.

The dishwasher usually drains into disposal, or directly into tailpiece, and water drains down to the p-trap.
Trap may be clogged or stopped up.
Clean out drain line, tighten connection where dishwasher attaches.
Clean out bottom of disposal under cutter blade.

Kohler parts - plumber told me the ceramic ring in the faucet is broken- and that's why it is dripping. I am trying to piece out parts to fix myself on Kohler diagram - what is the ceramic ring called?...

hi, just had a quick look and the part you would have to source would be :78125 spline adapter. this is shown here...... http://www.us.kohler.com/onlinecatalog/pdf/1146603_2.pdf the taps are washerless ceramic valves and pretty good quality, are they still covered under warranty as i would imagine that part is not cheap.

Valve is set to far into the wall...

First, your not going to like the solution. There really is no way to solve this on kohler faucets. Some companies make adapters but as far as I know kohler isn't one of them. Hopefully you can cut a hole in the drywall behind and put it where it should be, if not the marble comes back off.
