Question about ASUS (wifibralinkuay) 802.11b Wireless Adapter
I have asus x51rl laptop with internal wireless adapter. It see unsecure wireless network but I got message "limited or no connectivity", it sending the packets but not receiving and I switch off windows firewall, so what can be wrong? I got before windows vista and now i got win xp pro sp2 but problem is same. But my neighbor can connect with his sony vaio and xp home edition to same network. Is it make any diffrence for wireless connection from xp pro or xp home ed? Will be very appreciate for help. Filling very bad without inet. Thanks
The problem could be with the wireless network that you are trying to access, or it has something to do with you wireless card tcp/ip protocol.
where you using the same computer now, when you had this issue with the vista? or is this win XP pc that you have now is a different computer?
if you are getting limited or no connectivity, that means that the access point (wireless signal) is not giving you a valid IP address.
you can try to add static to your IP settings, but this will only work if you knew the IP range of that network that you are trying to access.
please provide more info
