How do I take out the inside to clean clogged stuff

I got this second hand with no manual. I cleaned out the 2 filters, but
cannot figure out how to get the inside cone shaped thing out to unclog
the holes that are clogged up. Seems like heavy dust, don't know what it had been used for but it needs to get cleaned up to work.
any ideas?
thanks
ann

Hi There, can you please specificy which exact model vacuum cleaner you have? There should be a sticker on the back or the bottom of the machine that will have the serial number, and a model number. Please give me the model number, and I can then walk you through step by step on how to dismantle the machine. Thanks!

Why does (it) have very poor suction?

The filter can be clogged but look clean. Most models have two filters. Replace them both every few years.

Using the wand stuff shoots out of the vacuum?

Hi there! It sounds like you may have a clog in your vacuum. Try these steps.

1. Remove the hose from both ends.
2. Use a broom stick or something similar to loosen and remove any clogs from the hose.
3. Remove the hood or bottom plate to access the brush-roll.
4. Use a wooden spoon or something similar to loosen and remove any clogs from the lower hose.
5. Clean all filters as your manual suggests. Replace them if necessary.

Hope this was helpful!

There is a filter inside the main filter. Once that filter gets clogged it will loose suction. Pull the filter and clean it, you can wash it by hand. Turn the unit roller side up and check for a small screw cover that you can use a dime to loosen. This cover is used to remove the roller unit. Once out check and clean then check the gear assy. for miss-alignment.

I've been very happy with my Pronto 2 in 1 until recently, when it doesn't seem to "****" very well. I've cleaned the filters, etc, and the motor sounds fine. Any suggestions?

Did you check the smaller filter inside the main filter? The main filter comes apart to reveal a smaller filter inside the main filter. This needs cleaning also. If you have found and cleaned that one also. Check the Hose at the bottom for restriction. Thats about it.

Clogged vortex holes

I had these same issues. It came down to my husband beating the **** out of it several times. He'd take the canister apart, pound it on the ground, use a hair dryer to blow out as much as we could, a hanger down the top to pull out any hair we could grab. Then I'd use it -- it definitely loosened up some stuff. He'd pounded on it again and more stuff came loose. Don't know if it's fixed, but it's got it's suction back. Now I have have hose suction issues.

It felt good to beat on it a bit.....

Electrolux Z8240 model vacuum cleaner flashing red & blue 1 every 6 seconds. What could be wrong with it

Inside ,the dust collection container, there at the far end is a white cone shape (another filter). I think you may find this covered in lint etc and if you reach in with your hand you can just pull the stuff off. Happened to me around the two month mark and I THINK, so far, so good. My machine is now not switching off and flashing lights at me and the suction is back to fabulous. Found this information on another obsure website. You would think electrolux would mention it in their "Troubleshooting Guide" GOOD LUCK

I am wondering how I can clean the inside of my Bissell Spotlifter Powerbrush hand held cleaner. I want to clean the part where you suction up - it is full of gunk and hair and I can't figure out if it comes apart or not so I can clean it. Can you help?

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
Normally on the Bissell Spotlifter Powerbrush the item will comes apart from the sides into 2 halves and then you can either clean out or blow out the inside of the
Bissell Spotlifter Powerbrush, also you can take a wire coat hanger and straighten it out and bend a hook @ the end of the wire hanger and you can use the hook to pull out the clog or whatever is blocking the opening and you can also use a blower or an old tooth brush to clean the motor or to brush it off.
Always, check with your local vac dealer. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Hoover eite rewind vacuum has blocked airflow, how do i fix?

Is there suction at the end of the hose, if not then the blockage is in the hose, unhook the hose and dig out the debris, if hose isn't blocked, then clean out the filters, if they get clogged, then air can;t flow thru them and you won't have suction. If you have suction at the end of the hose, then it is clogged down in the nozzle asm. there is an inlet by the brush roll and it comes up to where the hose plugs into. Clean the clog out.

Stuff gets stuck in the hose and never makes it to the canister

You must have a clog in the hose, take the hose off if you can, drop something down one end to see if it comes out the other side, if not then it is clogged. If it does, the inlet down by the brush roll may be clogged.
