The speakers can be connected to any audio device that has a standard 'line out' connection (not to be confused with a headphone socket which has a high output level.)
As long as you TV has a line out, you should have no problems. You might need to buy an adaptor cable of some sort as your TV is unlikely to use a 3.5mm jack as an output connector.
