Question about Yahoo Mail

Can not access emailaddreseswhen composing email.

Can"t access addresses when trying to compose emails. Contact list is complete and okay.

When composing or fwd, my contacts window shows the contacts and I can select but they do not appear in the address line. Also the contact window shows a XX upper right corner.

No sure which email you use. But two way first open compose, in to box. type the first letter on name. And all listing with that letter will show. click on the one you want. Also go to contact list and click on there name, should bring up your letter page.

How do I get rid of an old email adress

  • Start typing the recipient's address or name in a new message.
  • Select the desired address from the auto-complete list as if you'd compose an email to them.
  • Click the small down arrow in the recipient.
  • Select Remove from Previous Recipients List from the menu.
You can also search for the unwanted address directly in the previous recipients list:
  • Select Window ' Previous Recipients from the menu in Mac OS X Mail.
  • Highlight the address you want to remove.
  • Click Remove from List.

Open the Compose page
In the From box, keep the return address automatically filled in by Mail, or select a return address from the pull-down list.
The Contacts tab (to the right of the Mail tab) connects you to your Yahoo! Contacts, where you can select a contact from the list on the left, then click the contact's email address on the right to open the Compose page, with the contact's address automatically displayed in the To box.

When I put my son's email address in to email him and then move on to compose note - the email address switch to my sister in laws.

Not sure what software you're using but try:
1. hit the enter key after putting in the e-mail address
2. can you click "compose" *before* putting in the address?

Hi mehta1099 ,

Depends from where are you trying to access your email.

In some organisation , you have this option of composing email as blocked so , even though you have the option seen, it does not work.

Try to access it from some other place.

I would recommend you to delete the cookies and clear recent history and then restart the browser , as this should work in case there is no such block which I mentioned above.

Composing Picture Messages
1. On the All messages screen, tap Compose message. The Compose screen opens. 2. Enter the wireless phone number or email address of your message recipient in the To: box. As you enter the phone number or email address, matching contacts will appear on the screen. Tap a recipient or continue entering the recipient's phone number or email address. Tap the "Tap to compose" text box and then start composing your message. 4. Press Menu and tap Attach. 5. On the Attach window, select Picture.This opens Album to let you attach a picture to your message. 6. When you are finished composing the picture message, tap Send.
To open and view a picture message:
1. On the All messages screen, tap a picture message to open it. 2. Tap the Play button at the right side of a picture message to view it
To reply to a picture message:
1. On the All messages screen, tap a picture message to open it. 2. Tap the text box at the bottom of the screen, compose your picture message (see "Composing Picture Messages"), and tap Send.

When composing, pulling up addresses, list will not progress past pg. 1

try to see if your browser's javascript is turned on or enabled.

I would like my contact list to automatically bring up addresses when I type the first few letters.

What client are you using? On Outllok Express go to Tools, Options and click on the "Compose" tab. Check the box next to "Automatically Complete Email Addresses When Composing".

If other than OE, please repost.
