Question about Frigidaire GLTF2940ES Front Load Washer
I have a Frigidaire washer model # atf6700fs2 and its only 4months old. We use it at the SPCA we do about 13-20 loads a day well now it will not spin i have not taking it apart yet. Just wondering if any one mite know why this thing is not spinning thank you for your time
I had same problem with mine and its was that the coin trap in the black bellows assembly that connects the pump to the drum was full off coins and hair. because you are at the ASPCA there might be animal hair clogged in it. Recommendayion that rather than put the green clamps back on that you get some regular hose clamps to use.

SOURCE: load noise in final spin cycle
turn the tub on the inside if it feels ruff as it turns and makes a noise then most likely you have a bad rear bearing, if it is smooth in turning and no noise then turn to drain or spin possibly something stuck in drain pump. the drain pump will start up first if you hear the noise then the drain pump is accessed from the front lower cover, if its the rear bearing probably not worth fixing about 400.00 in parts and alot of work.

sounds as if theres something stuck in your drain pump, youll need to remove the lower acess panel(2 screws across the bottom front of unit) you'll see teh pump in the rigth hand corner. i would remove as much water as possible before trying to remove the hose to the pump or you will get soaking wetaferer removig the hose youll be able tro see what trapped in oyu pump preventing free draining.. VERY common problem.DISCONNECT POWER THE DRAIN PUMP IS ALWAYS LIVE!!!!!!!!

This often is a drain hose that is too low or a drain hose that has been pushed too far down inside the stand pipe....the water is actually siphoning out of the washer. Do not "seal" the drain hose to the house plumbing pipe, this will also allow the water to be siphoned out.

Usually this is due to either the drum support breaking or the back bearing being bad-neither easy to fix- or worth it. Try lifting the drum up and down, if it moves up and down they are bad. I see this a lot, and the price of repair isn't worth it. Craig
