Download manual here - http://www.singerco.com/accessories/manuals.html

Refer to the maintenance section for cleaning the machine.

Have the needle at it's highest position when removing and replacing the bobbin case.

Refer to the manual for the tension setting, stitch length and correct needle type and size for the fabric you are sewing.

Thread the needle with the presser foot up - always.

If the stitching remains loose, the machine will need to go to the shop for service as the timing may need to be adjusted.

There is a drawing and guide for doing this at the website sewusa (repair).

However, it would be best to have this checked out by a professional as attempting yourself may lead to more problems. And that could cost more than the service fee.

I have Singer 457 zig zag model and the straight stich, top stich is ok, but bubottom stich is very loose. How can I fix this problem ?.

I believe it is called "bird nesting" and is actually a problem with the top thread. See, my answer to the other question you posted.

Stiches are loose how to adjust the tension

Loose upper thread requires the top tension to be increased (higher number).

When threading the top thread, be sure to ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot while threading so the thread will seat properly in the tension disk.

If the bobbin thread is loose, then the bobbin tension needs to be tightened.

Bottom stich is very loose how do i fix it

This is usually because the top tension is too low. Just raise the tension a little at a time and that will usually fix it.

I have a White 7140 quilters sewing machine. I can't find the manual and I am having trouble threading it. The stiches are coming out loose on top, but ok on the bottom. I have tried adjusting the...

try http://www.singerco.com/accessories/instruction-manuals and search by typing in your model number. I couldn't see it there but there are other white machine manuals there so maybe one will give you help with threading. It sounds like the bobbin thread is not under tension, usually if the top is loose it is the bottom thread which is not tensioned and visa versa.

How to adjust tension the underside stich is loose and tangled, the top stich is fine

Usually it is your top threading is not right, double check that. Read you manual carefully, even if you think you know how to thread it, do it over again. Good luck

Top thread is loose

Your needle thread tension is too tight or the bobbin tension is too loose. If it is the latter try turning the bobbin case tension adjusting screw clockwise abot a full revolution.
If that does not work there is more than likely a bit of lint behind the tension spring, so carefully remove it and clean it out.
