SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

First, is this to reset the configuration of the laptop to default e.g CMOS, if so there are a couple of ways,
First look for a Setup option when first turning it on, e.g press Esc or Del or F10 (search the manufacturers details - e.g HP reset and ideally the model)
Second, if you are talking hard drive, this sometimes can be done through the startup menu, normally there is an option in the startup to select the method of starting. For newer versions of Windows, press F8 a few times as the computer is starting, hopefully it will bring up a menu, if this does not work, try F9 (this is the boot device menu normally).
Other options are to use a bootable media such as a CD DVD or USB or even a Floppy Disk.
Ideally the user manual for the laptop should have instructions on how to restore the computer.
If all else fails find out where the backup battery is located and disconnected it. Sometimes you need to disconnect for a long time or jumper between some connections to switch to reset.

My computer keeps showing rapair recommened or start up normally. what is the problem

If you close your computer without using the windows bar button, it will show the repair message on startup. You should always use the "turn off computer" in the start menu to shut down your pc.

Computer hangs some time monitor disappears some time doesnot boot

Hi,
From that I don't foresee it a hardware issue, probably is software.
Some things you could try off the bat:
- On startup, open task manager [ctrl+shift+esc] > processes tab > what is the cpu at and is any one app hogging the cpu?
- Start > run > msconfig > startup tab > disable everything except for what needs to startup, which is pretty much just your internet securitymag-glass_10x10.gif apps > apply > close > restart.
- Defrag your hard drive. My computer > right click hdd > properties > tools > defragment > restart after done.

I have the slowest laptop in the world, it takes 30 minutes to boot up, and for ever to start programs and close them.. any ideas guys..

See if you can upgrade the memory (Random Access Memory), that will give you the most boost. Second thing you can do is remove any unneccesary programs that start with operating system, you can press start and type msconfig and go into the the startup tab to uncheck what you may not need during the bootup. third thing to do is organize the desktop if you have too many icons, put them into folders of each category and finaly defragment your hard drive by right clicking on the c: drive letter and going into tools, defragment, this will speed up your comp niceley.

Computer seems to turn on except for the screan.

You may have gotten a virus that started with the windows openning. Normally use ALT-F4 to shut these screens down fast. Always ensure you are running an up to date virus checker. But, your subsequent actions may have caused irrepairable damage to your OS. Do you have a virus check disk you can start with? Worst case, do you have your windows disk? You may need to re-install windows to get a clean start. If you need to do this but have data that you must not lose, try pressing F8 during startup and starting in safemode with prompt. You can retrieve data in this mode if you need to (if you don't know how, ask, or research command prompt and windows directories).

Every time i boot up my acer aspire 5315 laptop I always get a black screen and the computer freezes?

Please try to reboot in Safe mode after Tapping F8 Key during start.

If the option for run in safe mode not appear you need to do it again.

After then, when you login at desktop, do the following:

  1. Click on Start
  2. Open the Run window,
  3. Type msconfig, then click 'OK'.
  4. Go to the Services tab, find the 'Background Intelligent Transfer' service.
  5. Disable it, apply the changes & reboot.
Also at startup tab in msconfig, and in the Startup Tab
Disable the items which you think not necessary to come during startup.
THis will help you lot to reduce the time being taken in Startup.

Hope it will work for you.
