    Hello,

Please note the writting on the Machine is in french and German so the light is falshing next to the words Zulauf/Entree. The Machine started working for a few minutes and then it stopped with this light falshing, there is now some water inside the machine.

    Thanks.

SOURCE: miele dish washer

I had the same problem only I couldn't get it to go at all. The problem was a bad motor/pump assembly (VERY EXPENSIVE). The bottom inside the dishwasher filled with water, so the intake interlock wouldn't allow new water to go in. I think I am going to throw my 4 year old, $1000 dishwasher out and buy a new one at Sears. Can't believe it is so poorly made.

SOURCE: disher washer not getting any water??

Hi Harris,
Without a model number, I can't be 100% certain... but it sounds like the flood/safety float is stuck in the ""flood" position. It works by rising and falling with the water level in the tub. If there's too much water, the float will trip a switch and kill power to the inlet valve.
Open the door and remove the lower rack. You should see it right there in front inside the tub. Just lift it and drop it several times to clear it. (It's gotta be all the way down for water to get to the dishwasher)
Now try the dishwasher. Did it get water? If so, please rate this solution. If not write back and we'll go a little deeper.

SOURCE: the miele g527 dish washer is not getting enough

I have just had the same issue. It actually turned out to be a very simple fix. The water inlet pipe has a very small copper filter that must have blocked up with age. I simply removed the filter and replaced it with a new one off a washing machine and the problem was instantly solved.

SOURCE: hi the red light on

It could be a simple thing like the intake filters need to be cleaned.
There is 1 or 2.
Pull out dishwasher.
Turn off the water supply and undo the hose at the tap and see if there is a filter in there and clean it.
Also undo the hose at machine end and look where the hose fits and see if there is also a filter on the inside of the pertruding thread. Clean out this filter.
make sure hose is tight both ends and push machine back in making sure hose is not kinked.

Any water comming in to the dish washer area?? If not check the inlet water valve, they get clogged with sand from the water supply. They can also clog open, in which case the dishwasher will flood the floor with water afer about 3 to 4 imins of use.

The "Rinse Aid" red light

The rinse aid light is just an indicator to let you know the rinse aid is low. You fill it in the container next to where you put the detergent. Just push the yellow button and the lid will pop up. rinse aid is more important on the newer miele dishwashers, as they dont have "active drying" like the older dishwashers did. They depend on the rinse aid to sheet the water off the dishes at the end of the cycle. They are designed this way to reduce energy consumption. If you choose not to use rinse aid, and you dont mind wet dishes at the end of the cycle, either disregard the red light, or fill the rinse aid dispenser with water to trick the machine into thinking it is full.
If you are not going to use the onboard water softener, you can turn it off. Refer to your owners manual, or call miele tech support at 800 843 7231 and they can walk you through the programming to disable the water softener. these are not fault lights, they are simply reminders that you need to fill the containers.

Miele Dishwasher G841 - Water not draining after wash cycle

If you suspect the dish washer, try discharging the drain in a bucket. After the drain cycle check the wash tub. If water is still left, you have to clean the drain filter attached to the bottom. Refer user guide.

The final drain end of the dish washer where you discharge, the fixing junction has to be cleaned, incase it is clogged.

Miele dishwasher film and crust on the inside-

Hard water has this "crust" which are minerals floating around that ionically attach to everything. Some machines from Miele have a water softener inside the machine. Special dishwasher softener Salt is added that cleans minerals off Xeolite beads. When cleaned they attract mineral ions. If you don't use the salt then the beads fill up on minerals until they can't hold any more minerals. The salt is used in the regeneration cycle. It washes the mineral ions off the xeloite replacing them with salt ions. As new water enters the machine mineral ions slowly knock off the salt ions and attach themselves to the beads again. This whole process keeps the crust off the dishes and the walls of the machine.
Use a dishwasher cleaner that removes scale. And if you don't have a salt light on your Miele you can instead purchase soap tablets that contain water softener built in. Miele dishwasher tablets have it. You can order them online or call Miele.
