Hi. Begin by unplugging the TV and plugging a blow dryer or a lamp into that outlet to be sure you have power there. If you do, good. If you do not, reset the circuit breaker or replace the fuse.

Now regarding the f connector. The only way to repair one that broke off is to solder a new one into place. If you did that, good. If not, remove it again as it is probably pushing on another component and causing your other problem. Joe

How do i get my Dynex TV to work on an antenna

Easy. First put up a good outside or wall antenna. Then run a coax cable (not flat lead wire) from the antenna to the tv. To do this you need to get a "balum" to go from the antenna to the coax wire. It's a small plastic 'transformer' (( about the size of your pinky finger)). The other end of the coax wire should have an 'F' connector put on it so it can screw into the F connection on the back of the tv set. Then get your remote and go to the input of your tv and change it to antenna input. Then do a channel scan. Let it finish scanning and it will let you know how many channels it picked up. If you're in a big city then you may pick up as many as 100 or more channels. If you're in the country, you may only pick up about 5 channels! If you need more channels then go back to Home Depot or Lowes and get an 'antenna amplifier'. Hopefully one that has about 25db gain. Most only have about 10db gain but the higher the number the better. It should be put inline between the tv and the antenna so you'll need another coax cable for the amplifier to the tv. The wire that comes from the antenna goes directly to the 'input' of the amplifier. Then from the 'output' of it to the tv. You'll love it once it's done and it's cheaper than cable or any other paid service!

We cant get our antenna to connect to tv

Assuming there are F connectors, Be sure center wire on antenna is inserted into hole on TV connector then push the antenna connector firmly into the TV connector until threads can be engaged and tightened.

Can you hook up the tv directly to the antenna? We do not have cable. If so what kind of cord/cable do we need?

That will depend on what sort of antenna you have. Radio Shack will have a flat wire to F connector if that's what you need. if you are in a urban area, I'd suggest a leaf type antenna. I personally use Mohu brand amplified ones on each tv. No more cable bills,

How do I hook up an indoor antenna to my Sanyo TV

There is a threaded connector marked cable/antenna. You use this connection to attach the antenna cable. Then you do a channel scan with the tuner set to antenna not cable.

No signal on samsung 40"lcd tv

IF it is an ATSC tuner ,newer type ,( digital tuner) it needs better antenna, most importantly Check the cable from Antenna to the connector. using multimeter , put on resistance ,any, anc check both ends of the cable, when there is no change on the multimeter consider the wire is broke somewhere. Make sure the antenna is pointing towards the tv station. also check www.antennaweb.org i think to see the DTV channels in your area. GL

New, second hand Nintendo 64

claudia,

Not sure what you're actually connecting. First, if you have a switch unit, the antenna or your regular cable go into one side and the game in the other...it connects to the TV. If that's not what's going on...you've got to fix that up. Your local electronics store or Radio Shack can help with the right one. Most units use channels 2, 3 or 4 as set on the tv...not a cable box. There may be a small switch with some of those numbers located on the bottom of the unit so that you can switch to a channel not used for broadcast in your area.

Need an antenna block for a Sanyo DS25390

Was the block a cube about 1" ? You should be able to salvage one from an old tv. This block is used to isolate the antenna/cable from the "hot" chassis inside your tv. If you should find a used block ,make sure it does this. If you get one that gives you a direct connection to the chassis, your antenna/cable connector would give you a shock and probably burn out something in your tv when the cable is connected. Some of the Sanyo's have this connector made on to the tuner. If this is the case you'd have to either put a new coax connector in the tuner OR replace the tuner. Stargazer
