Question about Fujitsu Siemens Computers & Internet
Hi, i have the following problem, my Amilo LI 2727 is saying that theres ''imminent HDD failure'' i bought a new drive (HTS541660J9SA00) but when i try to reeinstall windows (Vista) it tells me that it wont find a hard drive.
If i put the old one back in, it works (with the ''imminent failure'' warning) so im wondering if the drive i bought is not compatible with the laptop.
I looked arround but cant find any info.
Any kind of help or sugestion would be apreciated as im afraid of buying another hard drive and find myself having the same problem.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

First try virus scan/remove. Most computer users wish they could get an early prediction like that !!! Try to optimise computer, remove needless junk. By the way, 100gb hard disk drive prices crashed over the last two years.

Try downloading the automatic driver update tool from the website.
This should normally fix this problem by updating all drivers.

Verify that no pins were disturbed when the drive was removed and replaced. as long as the hard drive is the same interface as the laptop the new drive should work. The interface is standard for hard drives by type so if the pins match it should work. ATA, EIDE etc.

You can try this solution:
Copy and paste the below text in to a text editor, save it and give it any filename with the extension .vbs, eg wirelessstart.vbs and copy a shortcut to your startup folder:
Set WshShell = WScript.CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
Set oExec = WshShell.Exec("C:\Program Files\Launch Manager\WisWBSet.exe")
do while WshShell.AppActivate("Wireless Status Option")=False
It would be better that you restart the system after doing that.
