2007 dodge caliber rt slap stick put new tires on 3 months ago driver side front tire is worn cant let off wheel car pulls bad to the right side of the road

The popping could be from a bad CV axle joint, or a bad wheel bearing. Better get checked, sounds very worn. Raise the wheel on a jack and watch for play. Grab wheel at 3 and 9 o'clock, and shake back and forth-watch for play. Wheel bearing? CV joint -is boot still good? Ball joints at bottom of wheel attaching point to the control arm-check this for play, too.

My 03 Monte Carlo ss swayed left up right when it rains, when not wet out i have no swaying issues

With the exception of too much power and bald tires on takeoff, there is little to affect straight line performance once you are underway and rolling. If the car is pulling to the left read the following.

The exceptions to this are the traction control system and the ABS braking system. The wheels in particular have controls which count the revolutions of each wheel and make adjustments.

Either system uses the brakes to synchronize the spins of the wheels from side to side. The front brakes would be most likely cause the greatest pull to one side or the other. If the sensors are getting wet and shorting, then it could cause the loss of a spin sensor getting its information to the master controls. This does not mean the rear wheels can not tug at the brakes and cause the car to veer to one side, but it is less prominent.

You need someone to examine both the ABS and the Traction Control systems. Many have scanning machines to evaluate problems. Autozone, Oreilys, and Advance autoparts can scan for FREE. But there are difference in the scanners and only the most expensive will do these functions.

Most likely the brakes on the left front will be more worn from dragging due to the brake being applied automatically.

If you mean to say the car wanders left to right when wet, then tire condition and worn suspension parts can show up when ground friction is reduced. This would be a little like hydroplaning and is caused by thin threads and loose suspension. When dry, one tire holds the direction you point to and keeps the other tire in line, but when wet the two sides battle for direction. Your good side loses its dominant grip.

You probably should try to get a scan from one of the autopart stores and tell them what you want checked. The ABS and the Traction Control as they may not have the better scanner.

An Alignment shop which can offer full services(some can't) would inspect all the joints, tires and brakes. Some give estimates in advance of repairs.

Wow, nice car as well. I would like to know more of what you have done but for now make sure that all your tires match. Often times agressive tread will make a loud humming sound and fool you. What do you mean it is not going anywhere? It is really important that you put the recommended tires on all fours and they are properly inflated. I know this sounds very basic but oftentimes it is and we are looking for something more expensive or technical as the problem. How does the car run? Does it pull to one side or the other. ?

Explorer pulls to the right when cold

Check the tire pressure and swap the two front tires from side to side If air pressure is low have the tire checked for leaks. If the vehicle pulls the other way after swapping tires than the tires have what's called radial separation. Lmk

Steeringproblem steering pulls to the right

Dear Kal,

If The Steering Pulls To One Side Or The Other It Could Be Because Of Tire Wear. Have The Front Tires Replaced And Aligned And Balanced. Most Of The Time Is Because You Need The Front Tires aligned. It Could also Be That If You Have Front Brake Pads. One Side Could Be Tighter Then The Other Side. Have Your Brakes Checked :o)

Hope This Helps,

Alex

sounds like you need new ball joints. jack the front of the car up one side at a time so that the tire is clearly off the ground. once you do that try to push and pull the tire from left to right. if it does move then its your ball joints.

I just got stuck twice in two different icy parking spaced with my 2004 Trailblazer. The front tire was on dry road, and the indicator said it was in 4 hi. Why was the rear driver-side tire spinning? Is...

Unless you have a locking differential in the rear, then the drivers rear would just spin, and the passenger side rear would do nothing. Now on the front, the passenger side front is the power wheel. If the passenger side front wasn't spinning either, then you may have an actuator problem. The other problem too look into would be the TCCM (transfer case control module) could be going bad.

When making some left hand turns steering pulls to the left then you hear a clunk on the right side and steering is normal

Lift the front of the car and remove the front wheels. Check all rubber bushings and linkages. Compare each side with each other. Check the steering control arms and the ball joints for any play. Check the rack is securely mounted. Swing the steering from full lock to left, inspect everything and then full lock to the right with full inspection. Check your power steering for any leaks etc.

Well without seeing it I don't know whats bent or not but your caster angle causes a pull since it is pulling right you need to add more caster to the right side or make the left side caster less.If it is the tires rotate left front to the right front and the right front to the left if it goes straight or pulls left its in the tires if it still goes right its in the alignment.
