Apparently HP doesn't support this scanner any more. You can try Vuescan at:

http://www.hamrick.com/

It's a well-respected scanner software with support for lots and lots of scanners. It does cost money, though.

Good luck! Let us know if this doesn't solve your problem. We'll try to help further.

I have been using this scanner for several years and have recently bought a Windows 7 laptop. How do I load this scanner onto Windows 7?

Thank you for using FixYa

If Win7 did not recognize the scanner, you will need to go the manufacturer? of the scanner and see if you can download a new driver. It is possible, that there has not been a new driver written for it, and in that case it may not work al all.
Try this link for campatable drivers.

hello

the flat bed scanner will not work properly because the driver you have is for windows xp, you have to download the driver for that scanner which support windows 7, got to the website of cannon and find your device and driver supported with windows 7, plug in you scanner and make full update your system and windows will update the driver of your scanner.

thank you

Hi alistair49,

Firstly, is your laptop connected to the internet when trying to install your scanner?
Windows 7 will automatically browse Microsoft's online database of drivers if it's not found in your laptop database.
If you are in fact having driver issues, have you checked the following web page to locate your scanner software?

http://www.medion.com/gb/service/download/driver.php

If, however, you have the drivers, make sure that these are compatible with Windows 7 as your scanner was manufactured before Windows 7 existed. In this case try using Windows 7 compatibility wizard to install your scanner software.

You can do this by right-clicking on the installation file & selecting "troubleshoot compatibility" from the drop-down menu. Simply follow the on-screen directions step by step to check if Windows 7 has compatibility issues with your scanner software. In most cases this procedure should solve your problem.

Best wishes,
Graeme.

Can i use trust 19200 scanner in my windoes 7 laptop?

It will not work unless you have the correct drivers. However, it appears that this model only has XP drivers which will not work on Windows 7. You need at least Windows Vista drivers for hardware to work in Windows 7.

I'm trying to install my scanner on my PC, I have windows 7

From what i can see there is no driver for vista or windows 7 as that is an old scanner.
You can try a program called VueScan which basically supports a bunch of old scanners so they work with current versions of windows. They have a free trial (So you can confirm that it works). If you want to use for free I believe you can but it embeds images over your scans so most people dont like that. I think it is $40 to unlock it.
You can download VueScan here.... http://www.hamrick.com/
If this was a help please give me 4 thumbs up as I am trying to build up my rep on this site!

I have an old windows xp laptop. I use xerox documate 510 as a scanner with it. I just bought a new laptop with windows 7 and tried installing the cd so I can use the scanner. I am getting error messages...

I would say that the software will not run on Windows 7. You'll have to go to the Xerox site to look for Win7 compatible software.
There are several good 3rd party scanning programs that will probably work.

Hi, I have 2 computers one laptop Sony Vaio and a regular desktop both with windows 7 running for a while now. The drivers from HP that i downloaded worked fine on the laptop, but on the desktop they are...

My first though is that these two computers are running different versions of Windows 7. The scanner will run on Windows 7, but, HP states "some features may not be available." Did you get Windows 7 drivers from this link? If one computer is running Windows 7 Home and One is running Windows 7 professional, there would be a difference in hardware support. Professional has more compatibility than Home Premium. I suggest that you: 1. COMPLETELY Uninstall the scanner from the computer that is not working. This includes running a registry cleaner following the standard uninstall. 2. Download the correct Windows 7 software for your version of Windows 7 3. Test the product.
HP posted the driver in January 2010. I hope this helps you.
