Question about Dehumidifiers
just looked at my 656E for you.
Remove the bucket, then look (up) at the lower edge of the front grill (where the top of the bucket meets it). You should see a thin plastic edge with a small plastic tab. That's the bottom of the filter.
Pull it down to remove.

Mine has a removable filter at the back -- it's a plastic-encased fiber filter that I washed and replaced. It's along the upper half of the back and there are a couple of catches where it goes in/comes out. It was easy!
