30 inch Apple cinema display error codes...

I have a new 30 inch Apple cinema display hooked up and working fine with my Macbook, BUT... I'm getting the 3 long blinks error code on the power indicator light.

Mostly it's just bothering me to have it blinking. I have tried resetting the PRAM multiple times, power cycling a bunch of times but nothing works. Anyone have any ideas?

SOURCE: Cracked Apple Cinema 30"

Apple doesnt sell parts for their cinema displays. Your best bet would be to try to sell it. i would be interested in buying for the motherboard inside. mine quite working a few months ago as well. [email protected] if interested

SOURCE: Apple Cinema HD Display 30'' black screen, power light blinking

I don't know what might have happened, but a number of years ago I had an apple monitor and the power light on it started blinking, so I got in touch with apple and they told me that it's flashing an error code, so they told me what the blinking indicated and fixed it.

So I think the blinking of the power light on your monitor could be indicating an error code so I suggest you call apple and they will identify what the error is indicating.

Blinking light on 20 inch apple display

Blinking light on Apple cinema display usually indicates insufficient power from the power supply. Test it with another power supply from ANY cinema display (23" and 27" power supplies are ok to test with).

My 30 inch Apple HD Cinema Display is stuttering/flickering upon opening video in full screen mode. Any idea on what the problem may be?

Check your connection to the screen. You may have a running application / process that requires a lot of processing power from your Graphics Processing Unit (GPU). If you wait until the application has completed its task, or quit the program, videos should run fine.

May I Connect Apple 20" Cinema Display to orignal MacBook Air( does not have a Fire-Wire port)

Yes, you can do this. Firewire is not necessary. That is for connecting your hard-drives should you want to do it through your display.

I have macbook pro and a 30" apple hd cinema display the best resolution I can get on the display is 1280x800 where are the higher resolutions?

Your computer will always give you all available options for resolution. If there is no higher resolution available in the settings screen, there is no higer resolution available for you. This is linked to your graphical processing unit inside your PC. This cannot be changed that easily

Apple 23" Cinema HD Display went off

Hey - I just got done with 30 minutes of trying my cinema HD on my macbook pro and plugging and unplugging. When I plugged it into an extension cord in another socket the monitor started right up. I've had this configuration in my office for years with no problem...until today. Did mac send us a system upgrade that caused a problem with the monitor's power source???? Good luck!!!!
