Question about Nintendo DS Lite Console
Before you use theR4, you must format a microSD card. When you format an SD card, it wipes anyexisting information from it and prepares it for use for new informationstoring. If you do not format the microSD card before attempting to use the R4,it will result in errors and you will not be able to access the card.Formatting the card for use with the R4 is a straightforward process that willonly take a few moments.
How to Format an R4DS
1 Insert the microSD card into the slot in the SD card adapter.
2 Insert the SD card adapter into the SD card reader attached to your computeror into your computer's media port.
3 Open "My Computer."
4 Open the SD card "removable disk" drive and copy any files you wantto keep to your computer. Formatting the card will erase all of the information.
5 Right-click on the SD card drive.
6 Select "Format."

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

It seems like you got the R4 SDHC, but not the original one I'm afraid. The original one is from www.r4sdhc.com, and it is a better supported product.
You could try reformatting your micro sd card and see if that's unstable, but if not I'd recommend getting a new R4. If you do suspect that you have unstable fake clone version you can get a genuine card there too. http://www.dscardworld.com I managed to find this site after I got burned at a few others.
Loved having my emails responded to because I had loads of questions, and they were quick to ship it. They test each card before sending them. US based support and shipping I believe.
Best of luck!

Yes, it sounds like you'll need to get a new card. I've been using the Acekard 2i for over a year with zero problems.
If you're looking to get genuine cards for your ds (there are fakes out there), take a look here, http://www.dscardworld.com. I managed to find this site after I got burned at a few others.
