Sansa e260 My sansa e260 only plays on the left ear piece. I tried three different head phones and they all play only on the left side. Is there an adjustment I can do to get this back to stereo?

No sound out of one of the earbuds

YOU HAVE A STEREO JACK, LOOKING AT THE EAR JACK THERE ARE 2 COLORED CIRCLES AROUND THE STEEL EAR JACK WHICH DESIGNATE STEREO, ONE COLORED CIRCLE IS MONO-ONE SIDE, IF YOU HAVE TRIED SEVERAL DIFFERENT SETS THEN YOUR EAR JACK IS NOT MAKING A GOOD CONNECTION TO YOUR STEREO EAR JACK AND ONLY GIVING YOU SOUND TO ONE SIDE(MONO), AND MIGHT NEED REPAIRED

Hi, my sansa e250 has sound come out of only one head phone no matter how many headphones i try the same happens

The jack in the e250s is not made of adamantium, so it can actually go bad; however, if you try different headphones and thus determine that either:
  - All the headphones simultaneously went bad in one side
  - Your left ear has issues
  - The Sansa is only cranking out one channel; and
-the jack feels a little off, or
-perfectly good mp3s are being played off-balance; AND the balance has not been misconfigured in Settings.

...well then, the plot's moving forward and you can get your ear fixed, or stop the cat from killing your headphones, or re-load Sansa or Rockbox.org firmware, or fix the Settings, or see to the appropriate repair to the jack (depending on your warrantee status and skill with soldering irons and ordering off Jameco.com etc.)

Hi, I have the same problem but sometime is the left channel & sometime the right channel. I tested multiple headphones and it's alway the same problem. FYI the problem begin after a firmware update. With the original firmware the problem never append. It start with the firmware ver. 01.02.15E. Today I have downloaded the new firmware version (01.02.18E). I hope it fix this annoying bug. Bye

Self Panning Headphones

I recently purchased a Sansa e280 and in three weeks of regular use it developed a similar problem, with music cutting out from playing in stereo to mono, coming out of one headphone speaker. Sandisk tech support told me to reformat the device and install the latest firmware, which I did, but the problem continued and occured more frequently. I have returned the player back to the seller and I shall not be getting another one. A nice Ipod alternative from Sandisk, but from what I have seen written about in forums, the Sansa e200 series appears to be buggey with problems.
